It is not very clear what connects this game with theme, but gameplay itself is quite good and chellenging. It doesnt take much time to understand how different jumps work and master it. Also retro-like art looks beatiful

i like the game, but it works weird. Sometimes the character moves faster than i expect, and the lava sometimes grows faster that i expected too. i like this kind of simple games but its just so hard.
Will you finish the game post jam?

Pretty cool game. I really liked the pixel art. The different powers took a bit to get used to. The bones of the game are solid and I would be interested to see a finished version with audio and anything else you didnt have time to do.

Really fun entry. After I finally figured out the mechanics I was really enjoying it. The nice and simplistic graphics are great and work well with the gameplay. Too bad there isn't any audio, it would've definitely made this already good game alot better, although you still did a good job!

Your crew always makes some high-ocatane challenging action games, and this is no exception! I always miss it when your sound gets cut because your games are so visceral.

I played a while before understanding the controls fully. That is, I understood how to jump, but not the meaning of the color change. I think part of it is the way the lava comes IMMEDIATELY and I'm on instant freakout. That's great on the restart, and I'd hate to see you add a slow ramp-up phase. But maybe a dotted line that is a bit above the start, and the lava doesn't kick off until I pass it or something? I could have used a sandbox just to learn the nuances of the button presses, before being thrown to the wolves.

After I got the hang of it, I started doing better. But it was definitely tricky as heck. I think something about the space bar is tough for me, in precision jumping games. I may have done better if I could have used W to jump or something. The spacebar is a large clunky button to accurately double-tap, at least on my crappy wireless kb.

Tight brutal action with rapidly switching realities based on a cool core concept, nice art, all around this was very well done. It was just a bit more than I was able to hack, difficulty-wise.

Very cool casual game. Makes you remember the old games on the console. Reminds ice tower. Very cool visual. It is a pity that there is no music.

Yo this was super fun!

I can see the inspiration from down well haha.

I really liked the different jumping mechanics - it was really clear which one you had based on the top bar and the colors. It was really cool how the platforms were designed to play off of this mechanic.

I got to 17 and then immediately died without warning. The lava just came super fast out of nowhere.

Amazing Game!

Very fun game! It took me a few playthroughs to understand the mechanic, but once I got it I was yelling "This is soooo cool" for a couple minutes.

Add some music and sound effects and you have a great game!

Nice graphics and game concept. I like the movement. Took me a while to get a hang of it and I got stuck in impossible situations every now and then.

Really good casual game - addictive. I like the main aesthetic, but it could be better adding some sounds. Movements need some improvement, but at this stage there are good enough. I noticed some bugs especially on colliders and managing jump power when I start a new game. It is a little bit frustrating. However in les than three days you did a good project. I wish you the best developing it - you could accomplish something great using this first attempt. Sincerely you deserve more ratings for what you did here. Thank you ++

This game looks pretty good! I liked the effect animation when you land on something. Gives it a lot of impact! Sometimes you can get stuck. I wish I could jump with the up-arrow (controlling with one hand is way easier to coordinate than having to use the other hand to jump.

I liked how the colours changed each time I collected a gem. Did the colours signify the ability I currently have? If so, I didn't notice while playing. I just remember that I kept thinking "I wish I had a visual way of telling which ability I currently have.

Theme felt a bit weak as it didn't feel like sacrifices and more like exchanges. That's ok though, it's an interesting mechanic!

Look and feel remind me a lot of downwell. If that's what you were going for that's a job well done!

Quite nice entry, has a great potential for a mobile game, as it is simple yet challenging. Good graphics, but the movement could have been more responsive. Great job!

I like the graphics, but real shame about the lack of any sound. I personally found the controls way too loose and fast, but maybe I just suck at video games. I guess it would be better if difficulty ramped up gradually instead of being at 100% right from the get-go.

I liked that game ! Having different kind of jumps and changing the color of the level depending of what jump is have is a cool idea ! The lack of sound makes it really empty and... To be honest, I don't see the link with the theme. I mean, we are not really "sacrificing" the power... We just have fuel for the "jetpack jump" or a double jump... Too bad !
Do you plan to make an enhanced version of the game anytime soon ? With different jumps and with sound ? That's something I would love to play !

Neat little game!

It took me a bit to get the controls at the beginning because I kept getting killed my the rising lava -- maybe if it didn't start rising until I got the first crystal, it'd give the player a chance to scope out the controls and such.

As you mentioned, shame you didn't get a chance to make sound. But I look forward to see what you make next!

While it isn't entirely clear what makes it related with "Sacrifices must be made," but it does create a great game. Awesome! I just really wish there was some sounds in the game to tie it up with a bow, even if they were just simple.

Really, really fun entry. I would have loved some music and SFX and more balancing (sometimes, the lvlgen just screwed me over as I couldn't make certain jumps). The ability could recharge on gem collection and the player could be given a bit of a breather at the start.
