Money Golems Warriors by Buddaccio

[raw]
made by Buddaccio for LD 44 (JAM)

Money Golems Warriors is a 1 versus 1 party game where you shoot your coins to your opponent in order to steal their own coins. Unfortunately this means that to play this game you'll need a second player and DEFINITELY two controllers, sorry.

Controls : - Left Trigger = Counter Attack - Right Trigger = Shoot Coins - Left Bumper = Dash - Right Bumper = Special Item - Left Stick = Move - Right Stick = Aim

Stuff: The game was made with Gamer Maker Studio 2, every pixel arts were made with Asesprite, the logo with Photoshop and the music and sounds were made with Fruity Loops 12. All SFX taken from the internet are in the public domain.

Oh yeah, that's a solid concept. I'll keep it on my computer for playing with ppls.
Good job, that's really well find concept.
If you push this game further, let me know, i would like to see this polished.

We played this with two Xbox One controllers, and it worked just fine. The game is well executed, and I got my ass handed to me by my friend. Well done !

Great gameplay and graphics all around. I think the aiming green ball system could be improved because I am not looking at the enemy when aiming since the "circle" is so close to your character.

That's a nice game. I like the graphics and the idea. Unfortunately my friend and i couldn't find two working controllers to play it as was intended.

It does not seem as a good idea to make the game controled by gamepad. We did not had two x-box joypads so we could try only one guy.

Also it is not clear who won, who died. I could see only "Game over - restart".

Such a nice game by preview, such a bad feelings after all. Sorry, just average score.

I think the map can be more interesting. The portals are in corners but we always fight in center because of the piggy bank, moving through the portal won't do anything if another play just stands in the middle of the field

This looks like a nice party game, but I can not play because I do not have the controllers ;-;

Did I break the game? I'm pressing PLAY and nothing's happening :( The idea and visuals look appealing, I would love to try it out!

First of all, thank you so much for all the feedback! I'll try to answer as best as possible:

@luis-j-benitez Normally, the PS4 controller is supported. It must be the first controller plugged-in.
If so, we're sorry but it seems that we can't help you.

@kpedatte Thanks! We'll certainly make a "clean" version of this game.

@fluffy-kaeloky Thanks! It's nice to see that it worked for you!

@mironx The game was designed to be played with a controller, and I think it fits better than the mouse keyboard combo.
But it's true that it was a little bit risky to make a local 1v1 Ludum Dare game which absolutely needs two controllers
to be played.
And yeah, the "game over" was a bit rushed and it can be confusing, sorry.

@hexiez123 Thanks! In fact, we didn't think about it when we were playing. We'll try to fix that.

@sakkia Yeah, there's no "real" level design, sorry. I think the maps 1 and 2 are the only viable ones.

@ggklin ;(

@thesunshineraven As suggested above, it must be the first controller plugged-in. Also, we're sure that
xbox 360 and xbox one controllers are supported but we didn't try with playstation controllers.

Nice concept and art, but the lack of keyboard support made it hard to try it here.
Good job tho.
