Story

Little did Kuro know the trouble he was going to end up in when that chemistry experiment went wrong. Now everyone both male and female are obsessed with him and keep approaching him, but he only loves Miku can he last until the effect wears off?

luskily for him he has a nice group of friends that will sacrifice themselves for him, or to buy time at least. But will this be enough?

The project

This was my first attempt at a game Jam and this was my original post when I signed up:

"How hard can it be?

Hi folks i'm in this too. This may be my first game jam but that is still not stopping me from trying to solo it. Of course that does come with some restrictions.

My game dev weapons of choice: Engine - Unity Coding- C# Assets- Photoshop Delivery platform-PC"

I decided to create a game that was night and upbeat as the theme could be taken in a dark way, so instead I made a nice fun game. The game will end if the player runs out of stamina or friends.

Bug Fixes: Following feedback from "Fat cat": I have changed the default colour of the room screen to a darker shade of pink, I also changed the font in the tutorial section to one that is easier to read.

Following Feedback from "OfirMa85": I have set the game manager to delete itself on the win screen after having reset the player stats to the default values, thus allowing you to replay it properly.

Hi, please lower the saturation of the "Room" screen, it's too bright pink. Also the font of the text is a bit hard to read

If you replay the game, the rooms left starts from zero and goes to the negative, and all the other stats are saved. The game made me laugh tho, good job!

I like how the grid system is made and how the IA works to catch the player. The music starts in a
different layer when the game is finished, but the plot made me laugh. Good job guys!

@kibou-entertainment Yeah I used RPGMaker sprites for the characters but I created them in RPGMakers editor before importing them to Unity and usign them in it. I like the combo of Unity's engine and RPGMakers familiar art style.

@stonis Yeah, the music starts in a different layer due to how I got the game manager to not duplicate itself when you restart, side effect is that the music doesn't resume till the next screen. Thanks for the feedback folks

Hey, thanks a bunch for reviewing my game! Wish I could review yours, but I'm on a Mac. :(

Any chance of a Mac build from Unity?

I ended up dusting off my Windows laptop.

That was really cool! The implementation is really slick β€” makes me want to get back into Unity instead of doing more PICO-8 stuff. I like the game mechanic of grid- and turn- based movement, and the music is great. Fun little game.

If anything, I feel like you could ignore the other elements though. I got through the game solely by going for the carrots and potions, and ignoring everything else.

@nucleartide cheers and yeah it is rather easy as I set the RNG for the amount of items to be rather high in order to make it easier for people to play. my bad for no mac build I didn't have the plugin to export it to that as I don't have a mac to test that it runs ok.

That's an interesting concept. I did good until room number 5, I got caught by other people. It's a nice game.
