Rogue AI by jbasinger

[raw]
made by jbasinger for LD 39 (COMPO)

Move with WADS.

Left click to shoot and kill robots (Hurts heart, costs energy).

Right click to AoE and free robots (Heals heart).

Escape the lab before you run out of energy! Freeing robots slows the energy drain. Killing them reveals energy tanks, but also speeds up the drain.

Nice game with a little tactical component!
It also me i'm in Level 5 after starting the game and i the bullets could be a little bit more "flashy".
But besides that.. nice work! :)

Yeah, the level is kind of backward. You want to get to level 0!

Evil enemy robots! (they kept annihilating me) Lack of any sound was kind of a bummer but compo gonna compo.

I did it! I find the exit! However I didn't free a lot of robots :(

The bullets were very small : it was hard to see when you hit your targets or they hit you.
Bigger bullets and some visual feedback could fix it.

I like the text of the robots when you free them. I agree bullets could be more visible. Nice game.

Like others, I found the graphics to be a bit "Small", although playing on a non-retina screen helped. I also had some difficulty understanding how the AoE worked, I kept shooting my freed robots. Maybe a visual indicator/color change would help indicate if the robot was friendly or not?

Props and graphics overall look nice. Robots talking is nice. But I didn't really know where to go and what to do and bullets and UI is not very visible. It could make a nice story-driven game if given proper time. Cheers

The game was pretty interesting and could be even better if you polish it up(I know it was in compo), I think the text of the robots when you free them was also great, but maybe you can try have different text for different robots at random. The main problem I had was a lack of audio, no music is understandable but you could at least used some sound effects.

Good job, enjoyed the game but the bullets were a bit too small for me to see clearly. Other than that solid effort.

Cool concept of choosing death or freedom for the other robots and the dialog was nice, but some sounds would have been nice to set the mood. I had fun running through to the exits as quickly as possible.

Good job, you have a concept that works! It's a good game already, with some sounds and a little improvement on graphics it'll be better.

Great concept. Makes for an enjoyable game. However, the lack of feedback makes the game a little confusing. Some sound effect or graphical feedback would make it so much better.

PS: You played my game some time back, you didn't get some of the controls, as I had no clear instructions. Now, I have uploaded a gameplay vieo, maybe give it another shot.
