Speedrun by Persikan
To tackle the theme "The more you have, the worse it is" seemed like it would be difficult... But after a bit of thought I came up with an idea, and I implemented the theme in the form of time. Hope you enjoy my first Ludum Dare game :D
Engine: Unity
Code: Visual Studio (c#)
Graphics: Photoshop (pixelated)

Summary
An endless runner with a constantly generating level, where the goal is to get as far as possible! But there's a catch! The higher score-multiplier you have, the faster the game is! So don't pick up too many boosters!

Exit to Title Screen(Game Over Screen): - Escape
Retry(Game Over Screen): - R

For me, the end screen message was buggy, and looked like this

Anyways I like the graphics it looks pretty good, the character is cute and looks a little bit as my brother.
Concerning the audio, I don’t remember what i was supposed to say, I’ll hit you up when I remember.
The countdown is too long btw ;)
Where’s my restart button though?
Overall I like this game very much. I had an amazing time playing it. And I’m definitely going back to play this game tomorrow. It’s kind of addicting, what have you done to me??? Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future! Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

It's a fairly simple concept, not much explanation but rather you get straight into the gameplay. So there's no need for further explanations besides the instructions you provided.
It's clear from the get go that 'things' are to be picked up and the springs used for pushing.
Only issue I had was that when it turned upsidedown, Down didn't mean down on the screen.... but that's my brain beeing slow. Damn you brain! ;D
You've really incorporated the theme and like the others here said, consider porting it to mobile and look into procedural generation of the levels + see if you can speed up the tempo. (Shorter delay between attempts)
Also, consider adding a web version. It would be perfect for this size of a game and it might help you get more reviews since it's a click'n'play type of thing.
Gonna be fun to see what you do with the upcoming themes! :)
And if you're bored and got absolutely nothing to do, me and my friends would love it if you would stop by and give us some pointers for our game too. And who knows, maybe we'll add peaches in our next game! ;)

I'll check out your game tomorrow since it's getting kinda late and I need to go to school tomorrow. It looks interesting from what I've seen on your page!
Peaches would suit any game I would say, so go for it! xD
As for the restart button, did you not see the github note? :smirk:
(The linux version worked perfectly)
Good that the Linux version worked! I was a little worried since I use windows!
Also the fact only one key is required to play is cool
However :
- The game is a little bit too hard , even at the begin
- The countdown is REALLY annoying and spoil the whole game because it's too long : imo in a Try & Die game you don't have to make wait the player
- I couldnt test sound (if you had it)
Thx for the feedback!
Many said that the countdown is too long, so that'll definitely change when I remake the game!
Thank you for the feedback!
