RobotPowerStrat by pyokoanarogue

[raw]
made by pyokoanarogue for LD 39 (JAM)

I basically have to do the tutorial over here . sorry about that .

Keyboard R:restart game; esc: exit game

mouse left :select unit (your units are the blue ones, if you select a white one you will see its range of view) mouse left + shift + drag : select various units

mouse left around the screen . move the camera.

mouse right , moves units , make units break rocks , signals unit to attack (units dont attack by themselves even if they are being attacked . the are robots . they feel no pain)

you should try to kill all the enemies , the game doesnt realize you did tho. just the satisfaction of a job well done.

if your beacons (units that dont run out of energy automatically and are selectable from the start) loose their energy then it's game over. (you wont be able to move but maybe on a las desperation attack you might succed)strat.jpg

Interesting concept, really hard to coordinate. I like the wireless power to control robots however if they had some type of auto AI to attack it would be easier to control in my opinion.

Like Brent over there said, coordination is pretty difficult, it took me a while to understand how to operate the whole thing. The game is clear and the concept is nice, I also like it that you're not running out of power as suddenly as you do in (as it seems) most games in this LD.

Very nice, took me a few tries to understand how it works, but once i figuered that out it was very satisfying.
It just needs a few more levels and sound and you have a nice game, i like the simple gfx style, reminds me of broderbund's 'war at land' :)
Well done!

p.s.: groups and shourtcut for thouse groups would be great!

I tried it a few times but still didn't quite get what I was doing but that's probably on me. Looks good, some sound would have been nice.

Neat game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKdZrHdMrvE

Took me a while to get the hang of it, but very interesting concept. Could maybe stand to have a little more feedback in game about what you're doing. It was kinda hard to tell whether I was trying to move my robots or if I was telling them to attack something.
