ok in chrome though.
ah i enjoy moving around and the light pacing of the earlier levels. eventualy it got a bit nerve-wrecking, but I saw it through to the end. thanks for the charming game :)
(oh I thought the music worked nicely also)
nice puzzling game.
music is a little to fast for my liking.
There was an odd lull in the levels after the tutorial levels
Tutorial levels were well done.
- Graphics are simple but decent, nothing bad to say about that.
- Music is a little low on volume, but because it is a very fast and busy song that might be a good thing ;)
- I lost interest after dying 3 times because I had to do all the levels again. It would be nice if you could try the same level over and over again. With these types of games, the challenge is not in surviving but it is in solving the puzzle.
Well done!
The mechanic that the resetting the level doesn't refill your energy doesn't add anything to the game since some levels require almost if not all of the energy. If it's only there because of time constraints then don't mind me, it's not really a game breaker.
I liked:
The Puzzles: I think puzzle games are one of the more risky games you can make for Ludum Dare because you need to put in a lot of work, but I think you did a good job with them. They did require thinking.
The Music: It was really upbeat, fast-paced, and just cool to listen too. It also gave off the robot/power vibe.
I didn't like:
The Battery: I think for the first 5 or so levels the battery was set too high and I ended up with half of it left by the time I reached the plug. Then on the level with the 2 boxes I just kept running out of power trying to figure it out. I think you should have made the battery for each level only a little more than the shortest route to make you think a little more. I also wish restarting reset the battery like some other people said.
Overall, really solid work! Good luck!
However, as others have said, it is very annoying to have to re-do the whole game after screwing up a level. This essentially ruins the whole experience, as it makes playing more of a chore than entertainment.
The music is okay, although I'm not quite sure that it necessarily "fits".
Also, got frustrating that running out would cause you to restart whole game, where instead you could simply press r right before running out.
Good job!
Graphics and audio fits the game mood
I wish there were restart level of undo button. In this game sometimes I realize that made a turn that was stupid and can't be corrected (moved box to the corner for example), in this case undo button would help a lot
