Power Cores by Ray

[raw]
made by Ray for LD 39 (JAM)

screenshot2.jpg Imagine you are a robot on the edge of its existence. Your task is to survive as long as you can, collecting power cores from hostile machines. And it's not easy, when every shot and every second depletes your power level.

Move with WSAD. Shoot with mouse.

I recommend playing Windows standalone version (WebGL build have some sound issues).

Love the death animation of the enemies and the controls and shooting work really well!
Congratulations on finishing your first game!

The game is simple but works quite well, as a suggestion, next time, try to use navmeshes for enemies AIs. The graphic is really simple but works. The game is surprisingly polished for being your first one, but misses something, like pause menu or a way to exit the game after the end (except for ALT + F4).
I also appreciated a lot the fact that you kept the game simple, you used basic shapes as all your elements and you managed to finish it in time, nice work!

An original variation on a classic game, correct execution, sound worked in the webgl.

The controls felt really nice, bu the camera was a little disorienting. The death animation was very satisfying and I liked the music a lot. Great job.

Great idea with limited vision! The level seems a bit empty but the game is fun enough not to worry about it too much. I also very much enjoyed the music. Good job!

Not bad. Simple and it works well. It would have been nice if you could see behind you a bit more, though. It felt like I was spending a lot of my time backpedaling blindly into the darkness. Between that and some more feedback on hitting/getting hit, and I think this would be a lot of lot.

Good game! The pressure is here and the music fits well. Got sometimes stuck on corners trying to move in the right position without moving the mouse too fast but still enjoyed it. Also the rules and enemy behavior are easy to understand which is really nice.

Really nice game. It's look alike my game maze charger and your first entry. My first ld entry too. Where are you from? I want to know you :D I guess you could remove doubles on labyrinth. The wall corners are shaking.

Anyhow, good job!

Death animation is really good, but the mouse sensitivity is _**wayyyyyy**_ too high. Really good and simple game though.

That was fun. I admit I have found the control quite difficult too.
Graphics are nice. I like games with light & shadows.
