Hyper Skater by neowhoru
Hyper Skater is a Platformer about a guy on a skateboard who rescues his friends.
To rescue his friends he must sacrifice energy from himself. But be careful: if the rescue cost too much energy you die.
The good news: there are collectables to refill part of your energy.
Controls: - AD OR < > to move left and right - Space to Jump
GamePlay: - Just touch your odd friend so that he gets the energy - Collectables can give you new energy
3 Levels are currently playable in this Jam Version! Have fun with the game.

Lol @snakemuho - thank you :)
The Windows Version is fixed and the Web Version is currently building^^
EDIT: Now Web should be fixed too :)
Hope you have fun.

And it was a little hard for me, give up after 12 tries in the second level
BUT like the game the control are very cool, I like this small inertia.
And the art are great too. Nice job ;)
@xelphyre thank you :)
There was a bug that I got when wall jumping where it wouldn't reset to the 'grounded' state sometimes.
Good job, I would love to see a more fleshed out version.
So this is a simple platformer and it was fun. Definitely that high browser game drop in and play and end up playing longer than you thought you would quality. I wonder if that wall jump could be used for something if there were more levels. Hmm. I think there would have to be some more mechanics if it was to continue for sure. Even more complicated platform arrangements, or some of them moving, wouldn't be enough after a few more levels. The other possibility was already explored on the third level and I liked that! You have to work out the correct order to collect the energy refills between saving your friends. You can't just mindless truck through it all in a linear order. That was a cool twist for something in a game jam and showed you were thinking of how the system could be effectively explored.
The Idea with Level 3 came within i made level 3 i thought "wait wouldn't it be cool if you must take care of the order and to challenging it a bit?" :)
I found the screenshots very appealing (made me want to play the game). I think it is because of great pixel art and color scheme. When you described the game as "retro skate-platformer" in a post - I was thinking something fast along the line of Sonic... But it is a very good precision platformer instead.
I fealt like some of the beverages were intentionally placed to kill you. If this is true, bear in mind that if you expand on this game, i would try not to do too much of this. You can perhaps expand it to create levels, which involve more strategy and thinking, thus making it more interesting to play.
What i am not sure if the level settings - i had some idea about subways for example and another different city levels but still not a real idea about it.
For a full game it shoulnd't be too short but interesting :)
@jupiter-hadley many thank you for playing my game :)
Loved the pixel art. Hope you make more levels in the future :D
I liked the wall jump mechanics a lot. I also think that when you jump you shouldn't just follow the camera so completely - I could never see below me to know if I would land on a platform or not. Oftentimes games with huge jumps only half-follow the character through the jump so you can still see below you.
@aurel you are right with the camera which needs a little mit more improvement - so this will be improved.
I like the way you used the theme. The controls are easy. The graphics are really good!
I also enjoyed the trick you have to do to save everyone on the last level!
Congratulations!
