In an incompatible mash-up of a tile based puzzle game and a 2D shooter, we bring you 2048 Survival!

Description

The mission is simple: destroy the 2048 octagon. In order to do that, however, you will need to acquire at least one 2048 bullet. Bullets can only destroy octagons with the same number as them. Successfully destroying an octagon will award you with a bullet of twice its number. The 2048 hexagon is the only exception, it causes you to win the game.

Be sure to listen to the epic music!

Controls

W, A, S, and D to move. Scroll wheel to change bullets. Left mouse button to shoot. Mouse to aim.

Hi, great game, was quite fun and addicting, the only problem is, I played for 10 minutes and no 32 blocks spawned so I was stuck at getting 16's, if you fix this then it would be really fun! I like the combination and the graphics aren't amazing but are good enough and the music is pretty catchy, good job but you should try and fix the bug!

@roka-josh Yes, unfortunately I was in a rush and made the randomization a little inconsistent. A 32 would have shown up eventually, but that is definitely an issue that can occur. Just try to enjoy the looping music while you work your way towards a rare octagon.

Congratulations, you created a really great game. I'm totally surprised that the combination works so well. The music and sound effects go great together. The only thing that bothered me was choosing the weapon strength. I've always turned in the wrong direction. But otherwise I liked it very much.

It'd be great if you had time to play my game.

Nice game but i did not find any 512s to shoot at. So other than that it was pretty good!

Really intersting game, the combination feels really cool. Maybe diversify the AI cause it's a little frustrating when they stack themselves and you can't acces the numbers inside.

We need a few more rates too so if you have time you can check our game :P https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/rocket-pet

Interesting concept! The mix between shooter and 2048 game works pretty well. I didn't get it at first I need to destroy the lower numbers to have bullets for the next series but once understood it's very cool. Good job! :)

The music was fun and the game gets intense really quick. :P I wonder if rather than scrolling through the different bullets it could be a better experience to "level up" as you destroy the blocks. Meaning, at the beginning you can only do the "2" blocks but after a certain amount you level up and now you can do both 2 and 4 and so on and so forth. That would allow me to focus more on finding the enemies I can currently destroy (puzzle) while not making my dodging/shooting (2d shooting) be so hectic. Just a thought :D

One of the brightest ideas, i've encountered in this jam. Sometimes, the cursor gets lost in the game, when in fullscreen. Other than that
