Definitely some potentially strong elements like the mapping and weapon progression but the shooting is just a bit inaccurate and the hitboxes are much bigger than the bullets themselves making it kind of annoying to attack enemies. Also while the combat sensitive music is a nice effect the transition is just a bit too jarring.

I do appreciate the amount of content you put in though.

Really cool game. Had fun playing it! Also love the EPIC music when the enemy sees me :P

The fighting mechanics were fun and +1000 points to gryffindor for bullet-bullet collision. Loved it.
Good luck!

I got lost, I couldn't defeat most of the enemies (maybe because I'm unskilled) but your game is pretty good. Well done!

Hey! Really thought you did a great job with the tutorial and the music is pretty good too. The bullets canceling each other out sometimes made it feel like you and the enemies were just shooting at each other to try to get a bullet through and the attacks were a bit too fast to make dodging worth it. I would try more powerful enemy attacks that the player needs to shoot to survive. If you have a few enemies in a room and they're attacks really hurt then the player would have to focus on dodging them or shooting them out of the air. To balance it out the attacks would be slower and less frequent.

Really nice game i really liked the Tutorial and that you added a Upgrade System. I think the combat would feel much better if your Bullet spawned from the Center of your Body and not the top of the Gun since you can't rotate the Gun 360 Degrees. And i did'nt feel a diffrence between any of the Guns maybe just ran out of time on that. The Art looks really good also.

Neat game that I had fun playing. Nice with a tutorial that you can take your time and read all the details or just run through if you feel comfortable that you can just guess your way through.

Would have liked more diversity with the level scenes though, felt abit the same and I also thought I was walking in circels becouse it looked the same. I would also recommend to make the enemys more intresting to fight, after the secound boss i just keept running past them and heal any damage taken at the next heal station.

Good game and it is nice that you took the time to make a tutorial!
The shooting feels a little off at the beggining and the mechanic of destroying other bullets made the game dificult to play, because it was really hard to hit the enemies before hitting their bullets.

Overall it was a nice game and I enjoyed my time!
Great Job!

Well, I finished the game, a pretty fun game. At start, the fight system seemed weird as I was not expected my bullets to be cancelled by enemies ones. The weapons are good (rifle op), quite well balanced, levels are good so, maybe I was expected different type of walls but that's ok, the sounds are really good.

So, for me, the bad point is that the bullets are cancelled by enemies ones so that makes me spam the mouse button.

I liked this once I got used to the fighting system. Really liked the music and the whole game gave me a good retro feeling.

The graphics are OK, you could have better differentiated walls from floor, both are gray. The music is fine for background music.

While I move down against a wall I cannot move left or right, the collision detection could be better here.

I would think that the point where I click with the mouse is the way the bullets fly but when I shoot downwards, the bullets come out of the end of the gun and then pass by the enemy that I clicked, this is not very intuitive, the bullets trajectory should go through the mouse cursor at the time of clicking I think.

Most guns look the same in the inventory. Also - why is the inventory so big, gun 1 appears in the second square, gun 2 in the first and gun 3 somewhere in the middle?

I don't like how bullets cancel each other out, that was not obvious to me at first and I was confused why I always missed, them I realized it.

I like how the music changes in battle situations.

Overall I found this game rather tedious to play. Also the green things are everywhere so there is no challenge. There just is no penalty in getting hit, it does not matter. Also, I just ran through the levels and did not care to kill or find everything, there was always a green thing before the door. The game design is a little lack luster in these regards.

Please do not let my review get you down, this game is not at all the worst that I have played, rather somewhere in the middle so that is already a good thing. It is really just a lot of details that bug me a little about it.

That said, I know what it takes to create a game in 48 hours and how hard it can be, especially when the time runs out, so having completed your game along is a big achievement in itself and as I said it is not shabby. Keep up the good work and I am excited to see what you got next time :-)

The graphics are confusing at first, but I got used to them. I like how the music changes when in battle, it was a nice touch. Good job.

This is a nice entry. If you could of polished the fighting system just a bit more I would of appreciated it way more. Good Job though.
