I usually enter the compo, but a family gathering on Saturday night and lack of inspiration from the theme meant there were several game-breaking bugs at the deadline. So although it's a jam entry all code, graphics and sound were made during the jam by me.

Game looks so dope, I love this type of art-style, it reminds me baldi's basics and it's really interesing. Music suits it graphics perfectly. Gameplay is good too, but controls are too smooth (I don't know how to describe it). Anyway, so good entry. I loved it!

I don't know why I love this art style so much, it really just fits the arcade feel of the game! Good job on that. The controls feel slightly wonky, but other than that it's great! (It's probably jsut the web player since it's so slow.)

Good job my guy, the only complaint I have is the death sound, it messed up my ears :D

Thanks for the kind comments, I'm no artist or 3D modeller so Paint 3D comes to the rescue!

@danidev Fixed the sound balance while building the Windows and Mac versions :)

@borys Know what you mean about the controls, I removed the smoothing on the input axis to fix a bug where the Reaper doesn't turn to face the direction he's going. In the end something else broke that so he still doesn't turn....meh.

I really enjoyed this little game. It has a charming art style that's very unique and a great soundtrack that adds to the whole aesthetic nicely. My one complaint would be that the controls were very floaty and hard to control, and I was left feeling a little frustrated on more than one occasion after drifting into an enemy while trying to land on a lower platform. Having said that, I've given this multiple attempts and I still had fun with it. It's a nice combination between pac-man and a 2d platformer, and there's certainly a fun game in there with just a little bit more refinement on the movement. I hope you continue to develop games and come back for future jams, you've done really well on this one.

Fun game... took a while to get used to the physics and the height of the jumps - makes it quite difficult to dodge the enemies, but that's a good thing. Music was really cool too. ;)

Fun game, nice work. I made it to Round 3. The floaty controls can be a bit frustrating, when I'm still moving upwards from a jump and I wish I wasn't about to hit that golden ball thingie.

Also! After I use the powerup and collect the enemies as coins, when new enemies spawn, they should flash for a second and not kill me. It's very annoying when I instantly die, the very frame a new enemy has spawned where I'm standing. That happened to me twice.

@trevor-shoe Yeah, I ran out of time to implement the invincibility period after enemies re-spawn.

When you're floating upwards, you just need to hit jump again and you'll start to float back down....by pressing again you can slow your fall either to avoid enemies, or by pressing repeatedly float almost horizontally.
