I don't use itch but maybe you have to change some settings to published? And we cant see it because its in draft state or something?

@budark it works for you because you're the editor. The privacy of the game is probably set to private

The links don't work for me. Maybe the visibility of the game's itch page is still set to draft?

I like the concept of always having to sacrifice something! Reminds me of the hard choices in FTL.

- I was confused at first about what I was meant to be doing - some tutorial messages would have been handy.
- I would have liked more clarity regarding what each choice meant so I could make an informed decision.
- The font was hard to read.
- The music was great!

The WebGL link works for me.

I like the music, though it does get repetitive after a while (having the same problem with my music ;)). I feel like there should be a better response to the actions which the player chooses. You lose resources, however it doesn't feel like it's leading to either winning or losing the game.
I appreciate the graphics, you have put a lot of effort in.

Pretty cool. Like the music. Got a little boring after a while though. More variation would fix that I think. Good job! :D

I found it isn't always clear what the effect of each choice is which turns it into a bit of a guessing game. I also encountered an index out of bounds error when the timer ran out on "The crew finds a floating treasure" causing the game to crash.

Overall still a decent game, the graphics look pretty nice.

@earlybard @pancakefriday @reimari thxs for the review! We tried to encourage the player experimentation avoiding excesive information. But it seems that it was a bad idea! hahaha

Hi there,

Very nice entry you have here!
I'd reduce the no-choice events because they don't really fit the theme.
The music and art is just amazing. Congrats!

I like this event based + resource based journey (Actually, it resembles my concept=)). So:
1. Some of the options are not intuitive - Crew if unhappy - fire; are you going to kill them or entertain?
2. The events are not organizing some kind of story. You may implement - say - one event can enable another event - then there would be some flow of narrative.
3. Animations are nice, I liked them.
4. Music is nice!
5. 6 resources may be too much - you will need a lot of events to balance them.
Overall, I like it!

My only question is, why wasn't my rum gone? Resources depleted so slowly I was actively trying to cause shortages and couldn't lose. Game wound up crashing when I turned around from a whirlpool. The choices were fun and the Piratey theme was entertaining.

This game is amazing. The art style is great. Some of the UI was a little meh, but all of that was counterbalanced by the humor. This game is utterly hilarious. I would have enjoyed some animations to go with descriptions of my crew setting off fireworks in the night. You guys should polish this up and release it as a separate game.

Weblink worked but got an out of bound error as well in the end.
Sadly music isn't looping but the sailing sound is realy nice too! Would have loved if i could see my strength and the strength of the next enemy and have decisions like "do i want to take the cannons because i need them to kill that other ship or do i take the food in case i have to surround another storm?" intead of just taking the lowest and spending the highest. But very nice idea overall!

Hey i liked your concept but, i think it ll be better with we had more options and less Automatic Actions :D. But overall great game!

The game crashed on me by the end, so I couldn't tell if there was a scoring system. If the number of choices you made counts for the score, I think I did alright~

It's the kind of game that plays itself and you make choices at times, which isn't bad, but I do wish there was more to do between each prompt. I lasted long enough until the song stopped playing. The art was cute, and some of the choices added humour. Good work~

Overall, a well-done game. While some actions seemed repetitive, there were enough options that it never felt boring. I had one problem though, at one point when I tried to select an option, the game said there was a memory error and crashed. Overall, this seems like a fun little game that you would pick up and play for a few minutes, and just play in short bursts, as it is less of an adventure than a short, sweet arcade style.

@lexyvil @mathstr0fficial Yeah, sorry. It seems that the webGL build failed and that cause the error, we have fixed it (and some other minor bugs) and we will release it later today.

This was a very interesting entry! I enjoyed the atmosphere and the overall concept of it was fun! I enjoyed the music and animations, my biggest gripe is just that I never really felt at risk of losing. I was able to keep going without much risk until the game eventually crashed. I think this could be mitigated by adding in a few more events and options that we need to prepare for, like the battle event.

I think this type of game would work well with a few more elements like Oregon Trail such as a few mini games, although I could understand if you didn't want to go that direction.

Overall I really enjoyed the entry, hopefully you will continue working on it!

I think this one could have had some more interactions with the world.. maybe a minigame that allows you to stock up on some supplies maybe? but as a clicking game I enjoyed it! funny graphics and an original take on the theme. good job!
The web-version worked fine for me btw.

It's getting a little bit borring after a while because you just click buttons to make decisions, but nevertheless - it was nice to play it!
