Harvest Royale is a mix between a farming sim and a battle royale game.

I would have liked to have added more battle royale elements (like enemies), but time was limited...

How to Play: - WASD or arrows to move - 1,2,3 to select items (4 is unfinished) - Left Click to use selected item

  • Collect Fruit
  • Till the soil with your hoe (item 1)
  • Water the ground with your watering can (item 2)
  • Plant seeds you've collected (item 3)

  • Survive the blight by farming and collecting enough fruit.

I love this Sprite style, and the game is simple and well polished, also, you used so well from the theme, i like it. I missed some sounds tho.

Really addicting, but the speed of the player feels strange

Really nice graphics, and that's a funny concept! I think 100 eggplants is really steep though, I gave up after 15 (maybe there's a faster way to grow them that I missed?). It's impressive that you got all of those types of interactions done this weekend.

Congrats, this seems like an interesting idea. I liked the art style quite a lot.

@drprettypatty Thanks for trying it out! The level 3 plants drop more fruit so it kind of ramps up quickly after you've got a few plants going.

Potential improvements:

1. The UI & control is a bit weird. I can't help clicking the "toolbox" and then realize that I have to use number keys :-) It would be nice to allow click to switch tools.
2. More battle royale elements would be nice.

Nice concept, the polish on the finished parts feels good. Personally I really like how fast it is (both the player movement/actions and grow speed). It would be cool to play a version with AI to see how the BR elements could work.

I enjoyed the concept quite a bit! With more diversifying gameplay elements, this could be a really fun game: as it stands, it was the perfect length. I liked the extra tension of the encroaching blight, but I'd really love to see some battle and some royale in play. Also, some interesting offset of textures when moving diagonally causes the tiles to separate, which was kind of distracting.

I really like the idea of a stressfull builder game.

It would be nice to have something to stop or slow down the blight : maybe some wood fence made with trees or something ... it could give more strategies.

Controls are a bit complicated IMO : at least click on items to select them.

It was really fun to play though ! nice job !

Wow that was intense, my fruit stockpile was in the 90s when the blight was essentially all around me. I was down to like 10 total tiles, 4 of which were farmable. I kept watering and watering and hoping, and I made it to 100 just in time! It was quite an experience!

My only complaint is that in the beginning, I just started farming on the nearest farmable spot I spawned by, because I didn't know any better. Well that was a short-lived experiment as it was near the border, and my crops were overtaken by the darkness ASAP. Moved to the middle, and had much more success.

Overall, really fun!

For some reason the key 4 didn't do anything for me (Chrome on Windows 10).

Great game! It was a lot of fun, but something that would have made the game more interesting is adding enemies of some sort.

I kept clicking on the items and then remember i have to use the keys. What also trews me off is that the fruit/eggplant had a number and icon but you could not realy do anything with it. But i managed to surive the blight anyway. Cool little game i had fun playing

I think this was a interesting way to combine the tho genres, I enjoyed playing it. I was another one of those who kept clicking on the icons to select the tools. I would have enjoyed keyboard-only controls. Graphics worked well for me. I liked the mini map, too, was quite helpful. As you said yourself, there are one or two things that feel unfinished, but the game is cool nevertheless; I believe this is largely because the concept is solid. Congrats!

Fits the theme very well! I would've loved to see more mechanics added, the game turns a little bit repetitive after a while. But it was fun nevertheless!

That's a pretty chill game. Nice to play when you're kinda tired and just wanna relax and just farm.
You've got a nice little run animation and the sprites for the plant growth are very clear. No ambiguity about what stage of growth a plant is at. Which is nice so you don't have to wonder if the plant is ready to be harvested or not. The little particles when you hoe earth or sprinkle some water or when the plants grow are a nice addition.

There's very little downtime in this game which is cool. While I'm waiting for my plants to grow, I can go hoe some more plots and water them to get them ready. Near the end, I was trying to get my farm large enough that I could just continuously run around in a circle, watering the plants that had just grown, but I beat the game before that happened.
