To the glory of the great North Korea by Jonasz Kądziela
A few words of introduction:
This is my first Ludum Dare, that is why I decided to create a pretty standard game. It is a tower defence style game inspired by Brackeys tutorials.

I enjoyed it a lot, though it's quite difficult!
In the latest update I addressed these issues :wink:
I do hope, that the game will now be more entertaining. Remember, that if the game seems too easy, you may always change the difficulty level in the options on the fly. If you do so, the next wave will be of that difficulty.
If you have any further observations, please do share them with me. I would love to make this game very enjoyable :smile:
WEBGL Version does not work. I got into the game and it crashed when I placed 1 defence, then I went into an infinite loading screen when I refreshed the page
I Then tried a windows version and I got this

I am using Windows 10 with latest hardware.
I based my review off of screenshots, If you can fix these problems, mention me and I will re do my review.
**First of all, thank you for your time.**
Secondly, did you try to run the game in different browser? I believe, that this bug does not exist in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
I will look into this issue and try to resolve it as soon as possible.
```(...) you cannot make any balance changes or add any features after the deadline, you are only allowed to fix bugs.```
I believe, that you may work on your game even after the competition finished, but you have to include link to the original game.
```CAN I KEEP WORKING ON MY GAME?: Oh definitely! You should! But for the sake of judging, keep the Compo or Jam version around. You can include a link to the Post-Compo/Post-Jam version of your game on your games page, but sure your main links are the original version.```

Firstly, the music is very good..its simple and goes with the overall game. Very good job
The graphics are also very well made and everything goes together.
The Main menu is very nice and the UI is incredible. I love the amount of customization you added, although I don't think it is all that necessary.
I like how you used voice overs for the some of the sound, it added a lot to the feel of the game.
You can probably use some more sound over all though. Like maybe for the turrets shooting or taking damage. It seems kind of empty when your turrets are going all out on the trucks and there's no sound.
Also when starting the game, there are very little directions and at first i wasn't sure what to do.
Finally, I didn't get to enjoy the game very long because money is so hard to come by. I bough like 3 turrets and then couldn't do anything until the game ended.
I really enjoyed the concept of the game and it has a lot of potential. Very well done!

That said, I really do like the art style and music, but the game needs to ramp up in difficulty a bit faster.
Sorry if I'm wrong, but you definitely should mention that within the thread. Well done on your first Ludum Dare! :clap:
As far as I understand the rules for Jam competition, it is not necessary to mention the source of base code. Moreover, I have written every line of my source code and heavily modified it many times. I have recorded the whole process of making this game and soon I will post timelapse on my YouTube channel.
But as you said, still it would be nice to mention Brackeys and I will do it right now! :wink:
give more information about turrets, their range, attack, fire rate etc;
add more variety to turrets and enemies;
make a game progress faster. Waves lasted way too long without feeling much harder.
Managed to get to 57th wave leaving the game in another tab and checking it every 10 mins or so
I would really appreciate if you could check out my game in return
In my mind I had the idea, that game gets harder every wave, since enemy's health and their amount increases.
So, the more waves player survives, the more difficult it gets.
It seems to me, that it fits pretty well the theme: "The more you have, the worse it is".
Lastly, I would love to have made more sound effects, however I didn't have enough time during the competition. I will certainly add them in the near future to the post-jam version! :wink:
I do have to ask tho, whats that with North Korea? I noticed a few games in the Jam made around that topic. Did I miss some deeper political massage there? Don't get me wrong the voiceacting is dope!
Some constructive feedback. I like the displays in the center, but it's really annoying trying to upgrade towers out on the periphery without being able to see when I have enough money. A GUI element for money would be really nice.
It would be much more fun I think, and maybe fit the theme better if you were to start with one lane, and get more lanes to defend over time.
Overall, a pretty solid entry (in the post jam version)
