Rhythm Jump

Welcome to Rhythm Jump, combining two great game genres into something abominable!

Jokes aside, my game is a combination of a platformer and a rhythm game, where using the music to guide your jumps is key to beating each level!

Controls are simple -- Space to jump, Escape to quit.

Having your sound on is highly recommended, if not necessary to play, so hopefully you enjoy the music!

That was really fun, I won every level, the hardest one might have been the first level :D. Awesome music too! I wish the player was more than just a box, but otherwise I really like how some of the levels look. Good job!

I agree, the first level is actually one of the hardest! Music was great, good job! It would feel more fair if the player had a wider view of the upcoming platforms. Jumping to the beat is good, but you can't predict how long or high a jump needs to be ahead of time! Great job on the submission, keep making games.

The music is great, the synths in level 4 were particularly cool.

This reminds me a lot of Geometry dash. When I played I couldn't get over the second level but I got over the 5th level in one try  Overall pretty nice game, good job

I really liked the music! I found the first level to be the hardest one.
Great game, congratulations on the project.

Really enjoyed the music. The art style was really cool as well. I didn't really see how paying attention to the music helped with the timing of my jumps though. I get that the jumps would need to happen at the same time as the beat, but without knowing the song there wasn't any way of knowing when the beat would occur, or how long it would hold. Overall I really liked it!

Dude!! The music is great! I especially thought the level 2 track was pretty stellar.

Love me some rhythm games. Hard to clear a level the first time around, but after you hear the song a few times, you know what's coming. Might include some sort of indicator to help with each jump.

I enjoyed playing your game! It took me a little while to get used to the delay and beat the first level (and I think that the fact it has the slowest tempo makes it the harder because the range to achieve the jump is narrowed, to get rid of that problem you should resize the platforms depending on the tempo of the music, the slower it is, the larger they'll have to be ;))

Graphics are nice with these textures, but it was a quite hard on the eyes because of the scrolling

I liked the audio, simple but give easily the rhythm to follow, and that's the most important. Also it was different enough in each level so it doesn't get too repetitive!

About the theme I'd say platformer and rhythm aren't that incompatible, actually this combination is generally one of my favorite, it gives a good sentiment of completion and juciness when everything goes in rhythm.

Still a simple and solid game though! Good job!
