How To Play

The dealer will draw a card, choose how much to bet, and then choose whether the next card drawn will be higher or lower.

Aces are the lowest value, Kings are the highest.

You lose on an incorrect guess, and on a draw.

Tools Used

Unity for engine stuffs

Aseprite for graphics

Bosca Ceoil for the music

Cool game. I played it around 5 minutes trying to defeat him.Graphics aren't bad and audio sounds good.Also the game fits the theme.Good job!

The game gets a little tedious. Having the devil actually talk with vocals and have varying dialogue would have made it more engaging. I liked the artwork and the music was good.

I had fun playing it for a while. Does get quite repetitive, but I geuss thats hard to solve in 48 hours. Good job on the polish and the graphics. Works well.!

Nice look to it. A bit too easy to get huge life span maybe, was hoping for maybe some more mechanics into it. Good work!

The idea is good to bet with you life. Something that could be interesting is to bet with more life. The maximum of 50 years is too low.

@julienlussiez - in testing I was racking up a lifespan well into multiple centuries even with a 50 year max bet - how long do you want to live for anyway??? :laughing:

Nice game, but can be a bit repetitive and there is little incentive to take risks with the amount of life that you bet. The music is nice and simple, and the animations are good, as well as the connections to the theme. Can be seen as commentary on the effects of real world gambling.

Love the mood and and art style. The gameplay felt a bit too easy, like a lower stakes black jack since you are able to bet lower for lower confidence and bet higher for higher confidence guesses. Nice entry

Got up to 900 years. Pretty fun idea if a little repetitive after a while. The devil should start cheating when you get the better of him!
