You are a programmer in a dot-com company. Under high pressure, you need to follow a "996" work schedule. Your task is to debug routinely, consuming your life. The more bugs you catch, the more wage you will get. The Cafe and Gym are good place to go after a day's hard work, and they will help you handle your work easily in the future. Attention that don't let yourself get exhausted or let the boss find you goofing off, otherwise you will enter bad endings.

Ha, pretty cool - I played it for about 20 minutes... damn, I got addicted! Simple, but very effective once you figure out how to debug!

Using the Godot engine? Interesting. The first level seems hard and the other levels are pretty easy. The humor angle is pretty good, and reminds me of Shenzhen IO, in the sense that it makes you think about work conditions in other countries.

@konsumopfer77 Thanks for your feedback! The exercises take your life (remaining from the previous work) as currency, so maybe you need to save some life during your work? :)

Not bad. I noticed you said the BGM came from a third party, but didn't opt out of the audio category. Maybe something to do since you did not create the BGM. Otherwise, the art is cute.

Wow I had to look up what a "996" schedule was and now I'm depressed. Crunch is evil.
Anyway your game is good! I struggled to catch bugs but that's just me I think.

This is pretty good. I made it to level 17 before I quit. What could increase the challenge is by having the things that you buy increase in cost over time. I'd also recommend allowing for tongue range upgrades, to give something else to purchase.

Nice work.

@ransom Thank you very much for rating and comments! Since the life value is reset at the beginning of each level, I don't know if it's too difficult if the price is increased.. The tongue range upgrade is a good idea!

Yes, I know there is someone will make a game about 996
It's like I spent 3 hours debug and the left time I am sleeping all the time!
I think my boss will fire me soon

This is the game that taught me the art of goofing off and how it is the key of surviving 996!

I really like the game. It is such a well designed and well polished piece of art that offers fun as well as insights about the society.

By the way, although the music isn't original, it goes so well with the game, and it is so cool that the bugs do their motion to the music!
