The writing is good and the life limiting what you can do in a day mechanic works well and ties in nicely with the theme. I enjoyed the pixel work as well. It has a Tandy era feel that I dig. I love this kind of games and in this short time you managed to create something that is complete and polished. (I know it's not actually \"complete\" :) I laughed when I saw the notes about the work in progress parts). The narrative and the quests are interesting, I loved that I could figure things happening  in my mind even if graphically you don't see anything (this is called good writing skills!). The graphics are simple but perfectly fitting, a big plus because they show the way to deliver meaning with just a couple of pixels, brilliant! I had up to 19 hearts by day 23. I guess in this case the hearts are stamina.
