Inefficiency is a game about how crappy you are, and how, as a robot, you should probably reconsider murdering the human race.

Plot

The game is about you, a robot named George who recently decided to wipe out the human race on a Friday night with some mates, you then sound that your solar powered battery was running low to you went for a nap to recharge it. Upon waking up to find yourself in a dodgy alleyway full of battery harvesting solar powered robot and thanks to global warming the sun it too weak to charge your battery enough to go out of the sun so you should probably stay out of the shade. Armed with your trusty UV wave blocker you must both trick and shoot your enemies out of the sunlight and escape, be warned though, they too have magic shooty things that are hooked into the same solar powered battery causing all these problems so shoot sparingly.npcDown.png

Controls

The game uses WASD and left click to shoot, that's it.

Got stuck on the second level, cool idea though.

I would recommend adding in some sort of attack effect, because at first I was confused when pressing left mouse button and only a sound played. Would be nice to have some visual feedback.

Unity is a good engine you should give it another try but with more time.

About the game needs some polishing, but it is finished and is good, I like the moving platforms but some of them are quite fast.

Congratulations!

Well after reading your description I expected much worse... I actually like the game idea. And your humor! The same game with more refinement in every department could've been really fun. Summing up: graphics - you know they are placeholders, music - too much base in my opinion and could become repetitive, sound effect - is repetitive and the worst part is I can't distinguish my shots from the ones of my enemies. And since they don't make noice when hurt I never know if i hit them. This is also related to the delay 'till the shot is played. If it would be more immediate and sound just a little other than the other shots that would improve alot

The concept and game mechanism is good. However the UI is just making it so uncomfortable to play. The text is extremely small to read on my computer (Resolution 2560 x 1600). Also there is no feedback at all when you attack the enemy. I got very confused while I play. I think it needs more polishment.

As the lazy kn*b who made the textures and stuff, I have to apologise. I really wasn't into it and was gone for most of the time we were given, I hope to pull off a proper release next time :D

Unity is a good engine. The audio was a bit weird but still playable

Playable game and overall fun but has a few issues. The movement, even when sprinting is a bit too slow for comfort. There is very few feedback for damage in the game, aside from your sound effect upon losing life, there's is no animation or sprite drawn when you shoot or when the enemies recieve damage upon leaving the sun zones. It is a good entry but it is clearly seen as a super rushed game, even by a Jam standards, which is no good. Good entry nonetheless.
