Such a turn down to explore the underground maze... I died there

Fun story. Unfortunately I got stuck in a dead end in the maze. I got this working on mac by the following steps. Right click app, click show contents, open resources folder and double click ULTIMATE PROSELYTISM & MIRACLES SIMULATOR 2017/ THE MOVIE THE GAME.love

Stopped after a few minutes of maze; other people want to be rated as well. ;) Awesome idea combining platformer with cookie clicker!

I appreciate the style of the art, even if your skills haven't reached godly levels yet!

Unfortunately I'm not a fan of platformers or cookie clickers, so didn't really like the gameplay.

The best part was the concept with the humour and cutscenes, loved that.

Oh my god! (no pun intended ahah)This game is awesome ! Very original ! All 5 ;) Unfortunately the game crash in the second level desert when you have to dig the power (I click twice on the turnado button and it crashed). Maybe I will retry to finish the game later ! Good job !

You can indeed get stuck in the maze... Sorry. We forgot to re-add a wall that we removed for testing...

@martinus : Thank! It should be fixed too.

This game was fantastic! I played all the way through! I would have continued playing just to unlock more classy humor, so the fact that I actually enjoyed the platforming aspects (especially the first volcano level) was like extra foam. The initial QTE of the long hallway probably could have been shorter. The maze and desert levels were frustrating, but not so frustrating that I couldn't enjoy the overall game. Plus, just when I started wondering why I couldn't use my newfound powers to get through the level--it turned out I could!

Even small touches, like the random mixture of landmarks in the main city, added to the overall hilarity. Well done, stupid people. Well done.

This was incredible! the fast paces timing at the end was such a turn, i never would've expected it. i half expected the walking towards the guy's throne to be infinite. I guess i lucked out on the maze, cause everyone else said that they quit there, oh well. 5/5 all around, this was the funniest ludum dare game i've played. the art just adds to the humor, especially considering this was a jam.

Cute programmer art and great humor. I think the start is a bit slower than it needs to, because clicking the spark miracle over and over is not too engaging. The cutscenes and the writing make more than up for it, though.

I'm glad that you fixed the maze before I played this gem of a game.

I've always wanted to be a god... But more than that. I've always wanted to split the earth with.. a.. FUCKING RAINBOW UNICORN WITH LASERS!!!

Thanks for the great experience guys, thanks for making this. I'm impressed by how far you got with it, all the features and great story.

Me and my brother had a really fun time playing this and it got some great laughs from us.

I'd love to see what you manage to make in the next LD.

I expected schlock based on the title and you delivered! The fact that the schlockiness extends to the interactions as well is where you start to lose me.

There's basic platforming, needless icon clicking and even a QTE piss-take. It is all pointless, boring time wasting. Basically this is not good-bad, this is bad-bad.

At least some of the jokes were chuckle worthy.

The theme is a bit in reverse, instead of running out of power, you attempt to gain the power you already lost. But all these misgivings are made up for with the magnificent art and thoughtful level design! I played right through to the end, and loved all of it! My lowest point was when I saw the unicorn cooldown was 18000+s. Great effort and a LÖVEly game!

It's disappointingly hard to kill 25,000 people with 100's tornados.

Kudos for a different approach to the theme and mechanics. Most entries of those I've seen so far go with more or less the same thing. I also love that you went with a complete story, not just a premise. Sometimes it felt like you were trying too hard with comedy, and sometimes it made me chuckle. I've stayed till the end and don't regret it.

edit: forgot to mention that it barely fits 1366x768px screen, had to hide the taskbar.

I liked it. I even found a little bug where if you jump and land on a ladder, you'll skyrocket. Somehow, every miracle that could kill someone did, and I decimated the population.

@toonteamj Hum... Its a feature ! - Alternatively, you're god, so it's perfectly fine to skyrocket on a ladder -
More seriously, we also found that bug but it was this or you got stuck on top of the ladder when you tried to jump.

And in fact, the miracles are quite lethal - fun fact, it is possible to kill with spark -

I found it kinda odd the atempt to clash a plataformer with an pseudo idle game, but hey, both worked.
The forest stage had an interesting level desing, but the maze killed it (volcano stage was also quite good), the beach seemed kinda boring tho.
Good game overall, gj man.

The game was really well written and hilarious. If I had anything to complain about, it was that the platforming segments were a bit tedious. It wasn't always clear what route you needed to take and it was sometimes frustrating making your way up certain obstacles. Aside from that though, superbly fun and terribly clever. Thank you for making this.

To be very fair, I didn't expect to play this game till the end. But I did, and I really enjoyed it! There's so much content for a jam game, that's pretty impressive. As most people already said, the programmer art adds to the humor. Great job!

Publishing a deb and calling it a Linux build is absolutely, disgustingly racist, and I must have opted out to win32 Wine.

Game's humourous and well thought. Graphics are obnoxious in a surprisingly positive way. I had troubles triggering the tree miracle in the platforming part, and I couldn't find a way to activate the one on the beach.

@starlight-glimmer-is-best-poney I'm using ArchLinux myself and I perfectly know that. Unfortunately, LudumDare only offer a generic "Linux" as a platform name, and Löve only offer prebuilt .deb files. The preferred way to play Löve games on Linux is usually installing Löve and running the .love file directly, and no gigantic static build of Löve I could distribute exists to my knowledge.

Not bad, not bad! A bit weird, but not bad. I think it is just too long to start, and then you're just clicking over and over again the same spots.

And to be honest, I don't truly see the link to the theme. But otherwise, well done!

I didn't know what to expect going into this one, but I am pleasantly surprised. The game played well, had various interesting mechanics, was goofy, and best of all, it used LOVE! Great entry. :)

Very nice! I was having quite a lot of fun spamming random miracles - even though I was uncertain whether I'm gaining more followers than I'm killing! Nice juice!

Crashed out in the 2nd desert level when using a miracle to get to the next one... specific error message was:

This was one of the most story-oriented, yet hectic game I've played during this Ludum Dare so far! :) Well done, guys. Apart from the platformer part, the "God miracles VS Umph's free wifi to gain worshippers" aspect was unexpected and full of surprises. The graphics, sounds, music are perfectly fine for a jam like this. It's clear to me that you guys had fun developing this game, but I also had fun playing through it. Keep it up! :)

Nice game.

So realistic graphics, especially Earth falling apart. Just kidding, but really funny game.

I don't know if it is a glitch or not but when you jump, hold up arrow and are on ladders, you go up. I really liked that mechanic.

Sounds are really nice.

P.S.: Unicorn is the best.

It has a bit of polish to it, which is great, but ultimately I didn't like it. A large section of the game is about waiting, clicking an icon and then waiting some more. I know some people find that incredibly addictive, but I'm pretty sure to be effective it should give you rewards more quickly. On top of that, the platforming is incredibly bland and frustrating, so there goes all of the gameplay. Add some ugly graphics and a boring story that was written along as the programmer created the cutscene and what you get is not a very good game.

Like I said, there's some polish to it. The intro is pretty complex by Ludum Dare standards, but sadly I didn't find the story even entertaining. I'm guessing you trying to make a game that's "so bad it's good", but I'm afraid I just didn't find it funny at all :( Maybe the problem is that it shows you weren't trying to do something serious, "so bad it's good" works much better when you feel that the author genuinely tried to make something good.

I really enjoyed the music and the story. The platforming parts were solid, there's a minor bug when you hold the jump button as you climb a ladder, makes you float in the air. Liked the "cookie clicker" part of the game.

Didn't want to use the Godzilla power, had a good laugh at the 50% margin of error on the unicorn miracle. At first I resisted my urge to use the unicorn miracle, but I could hold it. And it was magnificent. Thankfully it did not backfire, and I ended up with about 23 thousand something followers! Great job on your game guys.

This game had a lot in it but none of the gameplay itself was good to be honest... It's still a nice Ludum Dare game and I guess in interested me enough to get all the way through it. But all the platforming was very mediocre, and waiting and clicking on the things didn't really work out

I'm a little conflicted because it's a bad game but kinda in a good way :P

I got a bug when i reached a miracle platformer that had lava in it [I assume it had to do with the volcano, it had a down arrow in the stage if you know which one that is] (first i was sent back to the start of the miracle level and once i re-did it, the screen returned but it was tinted white), so i couldn't finish the game. Really interesting concept, and an enjoyable game that kept me playing for a while. Well done!

Lol, this was a surprising amount of content for something that looks to be such a slapstick one-off.

The intro was great! Everyone has a different sense of humor I feel like, but if anything the very beginning of the game was marvelous for me.

As mentioned earlier parts of the game were a bit tedious but I actually enjoyed the back and forth between different game modes. My primary complaint was the long corridor leading up to the final confrontation -- there's no progress indication or anything and it goes on for what seemed like a painfully long time (which i'm sure isn't THAT bad to be honest), anyways I was really unsure at that point.

Definitely a good laugh though, thanks!
