It's almost hard to believe how quickly you made something this impressive. That being said, some music would do wonders.
Great game !
The only thing I feel like was missing is a visual jetpack fuel indicator.
All in all good job for 48h!
Btw, in Game Maker when you export you can hit "single time executable" and we wont have to install it, try to do that next time please :)
(One minor thing - preferably just have a zip file and not an installer!)
Overall really good job, a couple things of note though: from Jupiter onward the names of the levels you unlock are offset by one (getting enough exp to unlock Saturn say's "Uranus unlocked"), then when you finally do unlock Neptune the game doesn't tell you. There is also some small tile displacement on some of the levels.
Again really great job on this project  it was a lot of fun to play through (but is really hard lol, I think Jupiter is the hardest level too).
Art and sounds worked together well, it felt good to control the character.
Well done, cheers
Now, I'm sure this was out of your control since you had such a limited time to work on the game, but more variety on the aesthetics of each planet would have been great, but i guess i should wait for after ld42 finishes for you update the game. Great job anyways.
And I came across the LD42 star pattern too, which was a cool easter egg :D
