While on a hunting trip, Björn's village was attacked by powerful monsters. Soon Björn realised that these monsters were so powerful that normal weapons could not harm these creatures. Only a weapon blessed by a god could kill them, and to get such a weapon he has to sacrifice something. As he only had his bow and some arrows with him, he has to sacrifice parts of his body.
While playing the game you can walk using WASD, turn with your mouse and shoot by clicking left the mouse button. But be careful, because shooting costs you health. In the dungeon you will find an altar that allows you to sacrifice loot dropped by enemies for health. After completing the level you can play the endless mode.



You can use the altar by clicking on it.

Biggest piece of criticism is while I get that you're losing HP from shooting the bow and that it's in line with the overall Jam's theme, it kind of doesn't make much sense without the Game Jam's theme for context. Maybe if the arrows were red and the bow glowed to signify that the item was magical to communicate that it gave Bjorn great power but at a cost so to speak.
Overall really great work. I enjoyed playing through it. :)
The axe boss approached too fast, and I often got killed before I could even start fighting him
The boss is too difficult for me unfortunately. Kinda remind me of a very dry version of top down Dark Souls.
After the gamejam we will try to implement all improvements.
Also, the thing with an embedded game on a web page is that if your game requires keyboard input but pressing keys does nothing, you might have to click on the HTML part of the page out of the embedded game area first, then click on the embedded game again to "refocus" the game.
