Thank you all for your support and all your messages

I will try to reply to some of the questions/notes that I did not respond to.

  • the collision system I had code in a rush is buggy because it does not handle tunneling at all.
  • there is no bug with the sound/music as there is none ;)
  • the last level that plays over and over again is an attempt to procedurally generate levels with rng/seed (but as you can see, I failed miserably).
  • I still want to be evaluate on all the criteria (even sound) as I believe It will forces me to do better next time.

I am currently working on a new version of the game (better graphics, better collision, more levels, more monsters, even boss fight), I plan on putting the link to the Github repo at the end of the event, so you can track my progression.
I will also put the layout/monster/item/level editor I am currently working on for the new version on another repo.

Again thank you all for your votes.

Post-Post-LD39

as promised the link to the editor's repo: - level editor github - the game github

I will shortly update the current version of the game on my server and publish the level editor as well.

Way soooo cool! Really addicted, and love the mechanics. Although graphics are a little bit simple, game is really good!

(PSA: I'm not sure if its bugged but there is no audio so I would recommend removing your entry from the ratings on the Audio section)

**Pros:**
- The concept of the game is Amazing! the idea of losing power over time kinda makes you need to 'speedrun' the levels which is a cool concept to have.
- The idea of some bullets stopping when you stop is a cool concept in 2D and reminds me a lot of Superhot.
- The levels slowly introduce new ideas which means the learning curve isn't too harsh on the player.

**Cons:**
- The game could use extra levels (although is purely a time constraint problem).
- The game could benefit from some background music to help add some atmosphere as well as SFX to give some sense of space.

**Possible Bugs:**
- On the second level if you travel fast enough when the skull shoots you can hit the light bulb while the 'bullet' hits you and not die
- When completing all of the levels the game gets suck on the same random level 'seed = !rnd,1,0.266895' and seems to get suck on that.

**Conclusion:**
Overall a great concept and good submission and with further tweaks to work out the bugs and improve the game-play it would be amazing at its current state its still a lot of fun but could use some improvements!

Nice mechanics! Found the difficulty curve just right, with some levels requiring a few retries and thoughtful approach. Well done! :)

Moves a little too slow, but mechanically it's an enjoyable game - the shift from turn-based movement to constant movement on enemy projectiles was a nice way to keep the gameplay fresh.

Great entry, congrats :)

Surprisingly deep puzzle game. Could easily develop this into a larger game.

I liked the time mechanic, added a bit more stratergy to the game. there are points where you can just run straight through some of the bullets, so you might need to check your collisions. Other than that, Good Work!

The puzzles were well made, there was a nice progression to the difficulty, but I wish there was some sort of scoring system.

Positive:
* Nice gameplay mechanics, fitting the jam theme
* Love the bullets that move as you move

Negative:
* Too short (I know, just 3 days)
* Too simple

Nice overall entry though! Good job!

Really nice mechanics. Its great how you combined realtime and turn-based to make the game hectic. Nice level design too

Very entertaining! I also could not hear any audio and I could not find any in the source code. It may be a good idea to opt-out of the Audio ratings.
As for the art, it fit the game really well. I love how some projectiles only move when the player moves and others don't. This forces the player to strategize while not leaving them much time to do so. The game feels really well balanced with the difficulty increasing slightly with each level. Well done!

Nice game :).
Level design was very good, I like the idea when game introduces new elements step by step.
Also, nice mechanics with decreasing energy and stopping action in time :) .

Good job :D .

Nice. Cute and straightforward--I like it.

I think you do a great job of "teaching" how to play your game each level too. Really nice work for 72 hours.

Nice, polished game! Difficulty curve is about right. I found the "you cannot skip a turn but always have to move" mechanic a little counterintuitive. At first I thought there must be a skip turn key but later I realized it's a core mechanic. Maybe explain this? I didn't get any sound. The last level suggests it's procedural. Did you try that as well? Might be a nice way to get more levels. It might also have been nice to have a couple of really hard levels at the end to give the game more play time.

The turn based projectiles is a great idea. It could have been better with turn based lost of power.
Having different enemies for differrent projectile type would increase readability of the game.good job anyway

Good, I liked the idea of avoiding bullets in a turn-based mechanic.
Everything realtime that was added on top of it felt unnecessary to me, or the level design didn't take enough advantage of mixing both.

I liked it a lot! Great mixing of turn based mechanics with time based ones!! The puzzles are also quite challenging! Good Job! After beating some stages, I got the same seeded level all the time.

Some music would be a great addition to the game!

Keep up the good job!

It a weird mix of real time stuff and turn based stuff, and I am not sure I completely like it. The battery limit seems to only be there for the theme because it's real time and not-turn based. This makes it so you really can't try to solve the level as a puzzle but have to brute-force it and just repeat and change on the try before. I think it would be better if the enemies' bullets world be locked to the same rules as you (e.g. the grid). This would make it more clear where you could be and more predictable. The concert is quite interesting and have some fun to be had, so overall a fine little game.

I have bug. One of levels is repeated every time. (loop) But, it's funny. Good job!

I like the mix of turn based mechanics and the constantly draining power (plus the special bullets that are independent of the turns). I think you could make it into something really cool if you had more time to work on levels, as-is it was still pretty neat.

Nice job, it's a nice game! I liked the level design and the robot's comments added a nice touch of humor. It was a little buggy/laggy sometimes when enemies shot at me, I don't know if it is supposed to be haha, but anyway I had fun.

I like the mixing of the mechanics - graphics could have been worked on and the difficulty could have been higher/maps larger, but I liked the thinking this game actually required from the player. Solid 3/5 entry.

It is like a rogue like game? I like the way bullets stops when you don't move.
The twist from a classi rogue like is that bullets are not moving via tiles.
It's a nice concept and has a nice level design in it, congrats! :)

A bit short, but some of the mechanics were interesting. I liked the fact that some projectiles only move when you move, felt more strategic.
