Once upon a time

There was a beautiful planet, Althea, a developing industrial planet, sort of like earth. The inhabitants didn't pay attention to climate change although they saw the effects of it everyday. The people were not willing to change their lifestyles and the planet was dying. Their scientists found a solution and decided to pump the waste and dangerous substances from the atmosphere deep into the rock bed of the planet.

Years passed and all was fine until earthquakes started to rattle the world more and more. The waste in the ground had reacted with the rock bed causing it to dissolve and the planets crust crumbled into the sea. Only a few plateaus remains of the once beautiful planet.

How to play

Go through the portal on each stage to complete the mission. Use the WASD keys to steer your tank. Aim and fire with mouse button. I recommend that you play this game in full screen mode. Beware, bullets bounce!

Fun little game, although the controls were a bit wonky (the bridges could have been a little wider).

Thanks for playing my game @arzi . The controls are mainly built to work with a gamepad but I'd be interested to understand in what way they were wonky?

The classic tank controls are a bit weired in the perspective you chose.
It wasn't to bad tho.

Thanks @arzi that's awesome feedback. Yeah it's a little different as you actually go in the direction you push the buttons. So if you push right + up it will actually to there right away. In many other tank and racing games you turn the tank with left and right buttons and then forward & back with the W & S keys. However with a gamepad it feels pretty good (in my opinion).

I love the look of the tanks and the tracks/trails they leave behind. Very clean and "cute". A tank game like this has always been on my list to make ever since I played one called "Fire Power" (from 1989 =) in 2 player split screen! I was somehow expecting the tank to behave "move forward when pressing forward" and steer left/right (like a remote controlled car). Maybe it would have worked better with the steering for me if I used twin stick thumb controls =) I also liked the audio but I suppose it's been opted out for a reason? Nice and fun, great work!

Thanks for playing the game and the feedback @imphenzia . Fire Power was an awesome game back in the days :) Based on the feedback on controls I should probably have an option in the future to have standard tank controls too. The audio/music is assets that I didn't create so I opted out from rating on those.

Fun game with cool effects and graphics! I don't really understand how it relates to the theme though but its a great game!

Thanks @emperor-eagle . After you complete each stage you need to sacrifice an attribute from your tanks such as speed or health. Not a super good concept but works within the theme.

O.o @egos I never though that you would have a AZERTY setup but I'll fix that in the future for sure.

A super fun idea, great music and good graphics. The keyboard controls was really bad. Overall a fine LD game.

Reminds me of the tank game on the Wii! Graphics give off a really nice atmosphere and controls are smooth as butter. Really well done, nicely worked in the theme as well!
