Ritual Sacrifice by Samuel Porter

[raw]
made by Samuel Porter for LD 43 (JAM)

Hey everyone!! This was my first attempt at a ludum dare and man am I sleepy!

Originally I intended there to be a temple building game that required ritual sacrifice to prevent pestilence and poisoned drinking water but the scope was a little too big and I was unprepared for various bugs and python coding along the way. Still I had fun making it, maybe someone will enjoy what little I got done.RitualSacrifice.png

update: I really struggled to publish this game with blenders game publishing addon, people keep getting an empty blender scene instead of the actual scene, i tried testing it on a friends laptop and rebuilt the package but not dice. So here is a video and there is a .blend file on the download link that can be run using the version from upbge.org . Sorry to have inconvienienced everyone, this experience taught me not to trust a publishing toolchain without thoroughly testing it well before any game james.

Unfortunately it doesn't work for me, starts stuck on a blue cube (Windows).

Thanks for the feedback, I couldn't get it to run on my windows laptop because the glsl drivers were too old so I couldnt test it on windows :(

I can't get the Linux or the windows version to run. Is there even an executable in the Linux release?

I updated the windows build and tested it on another machine, it should work as expected now. Still testing the linux version on a different machine. Re: @turtlewit , there is a binary in the linux release but maybe it only works with the libs on my machine, testing it

@mtanton thanks for the feedback, i got a chance to try it on a windows machine and you're right, it was loading the default blender scene instead of the game! I found what had happened and repackaged it, it should run now.
