Evil Shepherd by Hadryel

[raw]
made by Hadryel for LD 43 (COMPO)

The Evil Shepherd is a fast pace strategy game, where your goal is to survive the most you can. Take care of your sheep and drain from their lives to survive.

How to play: A, W, S, D - Move the character Left Click - Show Sheep status / Drain sheep power / Attract sheep

Drag the sheep to the desired location to fulfill their needs. Hay - Hunger Water - Thirsty Salt - Joy

The life regeneration consumes food and water. The sheep can only reproduce with joy over 50%. Eating salt increases the thirsty. Gain experience from killing sheep.

This is my first attempt in a Ludum Dare. I've tried my best in balancing the game and make it fun. I'm sorry if it's not as fun as I intended.

Thank you for playing.

Make sure to feedback so I can reach your game and rate it too. :)

I would really like to play this game but my sheeps are always running around like crazy. I only managed to breed them directly at the beginning when controlling them to the sugar. Any other way resulted in an early death. Maybe you could give me some tips

The game is for sure not fast paced.

On the positive side. I really like the graphics, especially the sheeps plus their silly animations. The player walk animation is weird though. The music is also really good.

The theme is super good and I think if you had a little more time it could be a bit more enjoyable. Right now it feels very confusing and unclear what the game is asking me to do; not super intuitive, IE do I need to drag the sheep to the water? Just not totally clear. The art is good and the animation is solid.

Overall while I didn't have a great time playing the game and the pacing didn't match the description (felt methodical, not fast paced), it's super awesome that you completed the full project on time and it's a promising start to a game if you wanted to spend a little time post-jam to make some improvements.

Cute game. Graphics and animations were well done. I just wish I knew what I was supposed to be doing. A quick tutorial would have helped.

I like the initial idea, but the execution seems to be little off. Anyway I like graphics, for compo is pretty neat.

Keep developing! For the first time is pretty fine!
