Block Shift is a tiny puzzle game where you shift and swap blocks to make matches before time runs out.

It's a calming puzzle game meant to be played in one sitting. There are no scores or much replayability. Enjoy the mechanic and then move on to all other awesome Ludum Dare entries.

I read the instructions, but didn't understand what it meant to match a block color until I succeeded at it. Once I understood I could pick up the dots by touching them with the matching block, and that the objective was to pick up the dot that matched the flashing block, I enjoyed the game more. It's pretty tricky figuring out how to get around the area using the crosshair colors.

In the end, I lost by having green blink 3 times in a row. I wonder if it's a bug that getting the same color twice in a row makes it so the timer on that block doesn't reset.

Interesting little game! A couple times I got stuck where two colors were almost on the same line - I would switch to the first color, move through it, stick a pixel later on the second. Switch to the second color, try to move, and it would pop me back behind the first. Eventually I got through though, not sure how =).

A score system would be nice. other than that, it was a really interesting concept, and a great take on the theme.

No Linux version, can't judge.

Adding a score would have been a good choice in order to create a sort of replayability. The mechanic was very interesting and fun but I might have played longer if I could see a score / some sort of progress happening. Great music though.

Very interesting idea, and much deeper than it looks on the first sight.

Really cute graphics! I included it in my video compilation series of Ludum Dare games, if you’d like to check them out :) https://youtu.be/F-G7DKrQW4g

Very polished, but it seems to be lacking something
