Interesting concept. Liked the art but I got really confused by the interface... all I could figure out how to do was shut off a program and end the phone call. The intro REALLY needs to be skippable!

Very nice idea, and nice introduction that reminded me a little of Mister Robot

I like the idea, it would have been nice if it was more clear on what you can click on and what not.

The idea and the implementation are really good.

Wish the interface was a little bit easier to use and understand, also, when the game ended, I should've started after the intro. :) But nonetheless, this was a good game. The deep track gave a dark vibe to it, and it fit perfectly.

Again, the game is really cool. Kudos to the developer. Good luck!

I really like the concept of this game - such a unique idea. I was a bit confused at first, as things didn't seem to be responding, but I got the hang of it once I realised that programs needed time to close.

Once I'd shut all the extraneous programs down, though, I wasn't left anything to do aside from wait for the timer to run out - which was odd, as I was worried there was something I'd missed! I'd suggest making the time limit a little harsher, maybe: I think a little balancing would go a long way.

All that said, though, the game was very tense - especially with the music you chose. You did a fantastic job creating a dark and foreboding atmosphere!

Wow, we have almost the same pitch for our games, but a different treatment, that's cool to see ! I would have liked more text when the game really start for get you still/more involved. Also when it starts it's a bit overwhelming, you don't really know what to do, but it's cool to figure out what to do too so it would be nice to just make the differents actions possibles more clear. So a bit more visual coherence between the differents graphics assets would be great for this and for have a stronger visual identity too. Anyway, it's a pretty solid entry, even more when you take in consideration that it's your first ludum dare, great job to all the team !

I have to agree with some of the other comments, once I could figure out what to close out of and waited for the program to close, there wasn't too much to do until the time ran out. I do enjoy the concept though, I think it just needs a little smoother edges, maybe throw in a couple extra features like managing more than one call at a time while watching the battery, having multiple endings, that sort of thing then you will have a good barnstormer of a game :) Keep up the good work!

I like the idea but it is not well implemented. I think you should mark more clearly which button you can press or how to interact with the windows, because sometimes I couldn't reach the "X" or sometimes it looked like I could click it but I couldn't. It was a little bit confusing.
And you really need to make the intro skippable!!

But really nice idea ;) maybe with a little more of time you could make it work better

Hi, you rated my game, so I thought I would rate yours :D. To start off before telling you a word about your game, I would like to thank you for your review, it made my day. The first review I got on ludum dare was positive and that felt great !

Anyways, back to your game... I loved the concept from the start. The mood is started off right from the beginning with the dark background, and the dark creepy music. It stayed the whole way and I think thats what makes this game great.
The graphics are great and I have nothing to say almost. Some would argue they have a particular style, but I loved it and I think that it gives the game a certain style and that is really cool.

When it came to the gameplay, I had a bit more of a hard time. I think that as some other people said, the clickable buttons and the non clickable buttons should be more clearly marked. Also, I think that your game suffers a lot from user friendliness (a lot like my game) where the new user has a hard time finding his way arround, and understanding what windows to close and stuff like that.

All in all, I think that you have a really good idea, probably a good implementation even though I had a hard time playing, I trust that once explained better, or played by someone that knows the game already your game can be really fun to play.

Keep doing great work !

Great game!! Totally in the mood and theme. This is actually a real struggle for me since I often have to use my Task Manager when my PC is dying :D
Maybe a little plot twist right before the end would have made the experience even more stressful but it was still really enjoyable. Waiting for Brother 3!

PS: Thank you very much for your vote, your comment enlightened my day!

A very cool concept, very reminiscent of Mr. Robot for me personally. The gameplay again is a cool concept, but I got very confused by the interface. It took a second playthrough to understand that each program takes times to close, and you may only close one program at once. The first playthrough I was just wildy clicking trying to close everything I could as quickly as I could like I would on a normal PC. I think primarily what is clickable needs to be emphasised. The intro also needs to be skippable, and I think the addition of a small tutorial would make it easier to play. Overall though a really good idea! Excellent work!

Thanks everyone for your feedback !

There will be a balancing overhaul in the next builds so you don't have to wait as much but still keep you on the edge. The UI will be updated too so it can be more user-friendly, I've unfortunatly ran out of events to use in the free version of Construct 2 during the development, but you can expect a better interface soon with tooltips and a real tutorial.

Also, I'll make the intro skipable ! I don't know why I forgot that, when it was so painful to see it everytime I wanted to debug something  !

Thanks again for your support, it means a lot to BdManiak and myself ! I hope you'll continue to play our game as it improves in the next weeks.

It's interesting, but the UI is hard to use. Too much wait time, if you ask me.

Need some polish for the inputs and less text, and may be a smaller screen size. The overall experience was great!
