I completed all levels except 4 because I diden't seem to be able to start it, It was a bit too easy to shoot a planet out of orbit and the speedup with Q diden't seem to work. Other than that it was a nice experience.","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"torcado","author_uid":"1001561","time":"2017-05-01T22:29:33Z","epoch":1493677773,"modified":1493677773,"text":"Interesting idea! And surprisingly difficult. The gameplay basically devolved into just making a huge planet right next to the sun in a direction opposite the target planet's trajectory.\n\nGood job!","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"caterein","author_uid":"1028810","time":"2017-05-03T19:39:55Z","epoch":1493840395,"modified":1493840395,"text":"Good entry. It took me a couple tries to figure out the controls (I kept re-clicking on planets to move them again, which created another planet on top of the first). I do wish the levels had differed a bit more from each other in terms of strategy. Overall, well done!","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Louspirit","author_uid":"1009532","time":"2017-05-11T10:50:44Z","epoch":1494499844,"modified":1494499844,"text":"This is a nice take of the theme, and an unseen gameplay. The music is well adapted with the ambiance. It was not clear what actions were right and what were wrong : I didnt understand why I died. Maybe you could add a tutorial ingame? The next step can be add more variety to levels. Using gravity (only) to pull planets from their orbits, very novel. I liked it a lot! Also quite interesting difficulty, since you have to create more planets to divert existing ones, and also those need to be destroyed. Was the world too _small_ for another level?).\nInnovative idea, but not very challenging from a puzzling point of view. I just created a planet behind the first one, moving in the opposite direction. Perhaps having multiple starting planets could help, a limited number of player-created planets, a timer before which all planets must have crashed, friction to make the near-misses a bit more forgiving, and special interactions between planets? The downside would of course be that it would take away from the minimalism. I'm not sure why crashing planets together makes me lose instantly when the goal is to make things disappear into the sun. Surely their debris going in would be thematically fine? I would've preferred a timer on this rather than the requirement of destroying all planets.\n\nThe graphics are basic, not necessarily in a bad way, but it felt a little spartan. The music's nice, but the sound effects are very contrastingly harsh to the soothing soundtrack.\n\nNice work, wish it was my kind of game. :D\n\n","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Jiri_One","author_uid":"1000143","time":"2017-05-18T13:00:54Z","epoch":1495112454,"modified":1495112454,"text":"Well made and polished game liked the calming soundtrack and the concept, although the game was a bit hard I would love to see it developped(?) further","likes":1,"format":"md"}],"format":"md","images":["ld38\/16736-4fda515be6d9c49d34be55f0ecb53801.png"],"links":[],"metadata":{"g_key":"44426","g_author":"1002244","g_event":"LD38","g_eventkey":"69","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"242192","g_title":"(Web) The Small Worlds","g_status":"USEAR3","g_place":"593","g_commentcount":"15","g_site2_node_id":"16736","g_hide":"Y","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":{"n_key":"16736","n_urlkey":"242192","n_parent":"9405","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/38\/the-small-worlds","n_slug":"the-small-worlds","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"jam","n_author":"2244","n_created":"1492813806","n_modified":"1493838515","n_version":"78016","n_status":"COMMIT"},"node":{"id":16736,"parent":9405,"superparent":9,"author":2244,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"jam","published":"2017-04-24T23:43:10Z","created":"2017-04-21T22:30:06Z","modified":"2017-05-03T19:08:35Z","version":78016,"slug":"the-small-worlds","name":"(Web) The Small Worlds","body":"![Screen1.PNG](\/\/\/raw\/4c8\/z\/1a62.png)\nThe Small Worlds is a minimalist physics game for LD38.\n\nYou goal is to crash all the planets (small worlds) into the sun by creating more planets.\n\n\nPress H to view controls ingame.\n\nWASD > Move Camera\n\nMouse Wheel > Zoom\n\nQ > Slow Down Time\n\nE > Speed Up Time\n\nR > Restart\n\nF > Quit\n\nClick & Drag to create planet.\n\nWhile Dragging, Use the Mouse Wheel To Make Planet Bigger\/Smaller\n## [WebGL](http:\/\/lukethecoder64.github.io\/LD38\/Builds\/Web1\/index.html)\n## [Source](https:\/\/github.com\/lukethecoder64\/lukethecoder64.github.io\/tree\/master\/LD38)","meta":{"cover":"\/\/\/content\/4c8\/z\/35ab.png","author":[2244]},"path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/38\/the-small-worlds","parents":[1,5,9,9405],"love":0,"notes":15,"notes-timestamp":"2017-05-18T13:00:54Z","grade":{"grade-01":27,"grade-02":26,"grade-03":27,"grade-04":27,"grade-05":27,"grade-06":25,"grade-07":24,"grade-08":25},"magic":{"cool":81.5475321515,"feedback":8,"given":16.625,"grade":26,"grade-01-average":3,"grade-01-result":593,"grade-02-average":2.708,"grade-02-result":609,"grade-03-average":3.64,"grade-03-result":152,"grade-04-average":3.72,"grade-04-result":230,"grade-05-average":2.56,"grade-05-result":669,"grade-06-average":2.826,"grade-06-result":392,"grade-07-average":1.773,"grade-07-result":640,"grade-08-average":3,"grade-08-result":501,"smart":-12.599262652487}},"text":"![Screen1.PNG](\/\/\/raw\/4c8\/z\/1a62.png)\nThe Small Worlds is a minimalist physics game for LD38.\n\nYou goal is to crash all the planets (small worlds) into the sun by creating more planets.\n\n\nPress H to view controls ingame.\n\nWASD > Move Camera\n\nMouse Wheel > Zoom\n\nQ > Slow Down Time\n\nE > Speed Up Time\n\nR > Restart\n\nF > Quit\n\nClick & Drag to create planet.\n\nWhile Dragging, Use the Mouse Wheel To Make Planet Bigger\/Smaller\n## [WebGL](http:\/\/lukethecoder64.github.io\/LD38\/Builds\/Web1\/index.html)\n## [Source](https:\/\/github.com\/lukethecoder64\/lukethecoder64.github.io\/tree\/master\/LD38)","title":"(Web) The Small Worlds"}
