💡 Idea:
It's All Falling Apart Like ... like what? Honestly, I have no idea, but I know that "all" can relate to anything. Your code quality as Ludum Dare progresses? Oh yeah, definitely. Same applies to your sanity? Yep, that's for sure. Your life? Yes, but hopefully not...

It's All Falling Apart Like ... is a game about controlling a thing with keys that can pick up good things and kill bad things oh and all the things also can jump and a lot more... This game... maybe it's a platformer, maybe it's a tower defense (or maybe it's a plane?), maybe it has battle royale elements to it or maybe I just believe that it does...

The platforms on each level are collapsing under the deepness of the subtle plot... You need to try your best to survive.

Do you see how many ellipses I'm using? Am I doing this for a joke? I don't know. You'll have to find out for yourself... Yeah... This is truly something... Really makes you think... 🤔

✏️ Theme: Running out of space

🏅 Features: - Underground setting, why? Well imagine this is like a mineshaft, so the falling wooden platforms actually make sense now. Simple™ - 3 unique levels, the ones you've never seen before. Because you've never seen this game. I recommend, 9/10, but needs more procedural generation - Replay value, tons of it. You can play with your eyes closed, or maybe with your monitor upside down. Possibilities are endless, really - 3 powerups, those are things that do good things for you. These can be the key to survival, no joke, especially when used by a real player and not by an enemy - Smart enemies, those are things that do no good things for you. HEY, LOOK, THEY ARE SMART, ALRIGHT??? THEY ARE TRYING THEIR BEST TO COMPETE WITH YOU. IT'S NOT THEIR FAULT THAT YOU HAVE A BRAIN AND THEY HAVE ONLY 650 LINES OF SPAGHETTI CODE WRITTEN BY A DRUNK CODER. BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? IF YOU DIE YOU GET TO ENJOY ENEMIES PLAYING ALL BY THEMSELVES. HA. HAHA. THEY ARE FULLY INDEPENDENT AND DON'T NEED YOU 💪😤 - Realistic combat, this is basically your typical battle royale game, but it can be played on a potato calculator without Internet connection. Seriously, you aren't eager to play it yet?

🎮 Controls: - Up/Down/Left/Right Arrows - Move the landing spot target - Space - Jump to the landing spot target - Left Mouse - Pan a camera around when player is dead - R - Quick restart - 1/2/3 - Use powerups if available - Escape - Close the game

🕹 Cheats:
If for some reason you find enemy bots beating you then: 1. don't get frustrated 2. git gud 3. if you still get frustrated use these: - Page Up - Goes to the next level - Page Down - Goes to the previous level - P - Gives infinite number of powerups

Really nice entry, it really has all the elements of a proper game. The music and graphics fit together well and the game itself is original and works well. Even the description is clear and fun to read!

Controls area bit unintuitive, makes it kinda hard to move before falling through! almost wish you could just move the cursor where you want to move without worrying about rotation

I don't know what actually happens in this game. Just before I do something I die. What's the sense of this game? Audio isn't good too, I just get angry playing this game. Sorry to say this but you had bad idea

Dude your game broke my keyboard. Very intense game and I really got into it after a few rounds. Like the pace of the game and the concept. Great game all in all.

I liked your game, it has some solid gameplay mechanics. I had trouble at first to see the platforms that were going to fall, maybe something more eye-catching would have been better, especially since you can't land on a platform that is going to fall. I liked the artstyle and the music goes well with the game. The AI is pretty good at its job. Overall nice job.

The most completed game i see so far in the compo. Good job! The controlls a bit unhandy but i thinks it is a part of a game.

I had fun bouncing around on the bots' platforms and generally trying to mess with them. Controls were kind of clunky but I think that fit the game.

I wish there was more of a goal than just survive.

Overall, it was pretty interesting!

Interesting game. The controls get a bit to get used to but once you do they add something to the challenge.
Found it much more effecient trying to just survive rather than going after the enemies, it was pretty difficult to actually land on them before they jumped away again.

One complaint I have though is that sometimes the platforms don't actually dissapear but you still fall through them, or some other times they would start falling and drop mid-jump.

Other than that, I'd say this is a really good entry, and with a bit of polish you could make something really nice out of this.

Great game. Since I died instantly on my first try, the first feature I encountered was the player name generation, which is a nice touch. As for the game itself, the mechanic is clever and well executed. The ennemies acting independently were a great addition to the gameplay. Tweaking the controls might make the game more dynamic and allow for fast jumps and takedowns. All in all, great work !

Liked the idea, well presented, although I did find the controls a little peculiar.

I liked the concept. I found the controls to be unintuitive primarily because the function of the keys changed based on your current orientation. I eventually figured out what you were getting at. Like, you turn in the direction of the press, but extend and retract based on the current axis. But this became more confusing because the turn only worked if you turned perpendicular to your current facing. I think it would have made more sense if left and right always turned relative to my current facing and forward and back always extended and retracted.

That said, plotting a path and gathering objects was I was running out of space was fun. I also liked having the option to jump over the various open holes.

Tracking the camera on my guy as I jumped gave a good "jumping" feel. Though the camera shifts in the wrong direction sometimes. Such as when I'm facing upscreen and I'm on the right side of the board, when I jump northward the camera shifts to the left and then back to the right which is a bit disorienting.

Such a hard game! Very innovative mechanics though and the AI seemed to play quite well. Fits nicely with the theme. The music is a little repetitive but the graphics are pretty.

Nice game!
I would have liked to be able to change my direction and range while jumping to be able to plan my next jump ahead.
Also the piano tune during the start menu screen was really well done. Impressive
