Bots Forest by Dino_jr

[raw]
made by Dino_jr for LD 39 (COMPO)

This is a simple 3th person shoter which as many enemys you kill much more apear to kill you, it was made in Unity engine, the 3d models are made in 3Ds Max, and the textures on Photoshop. Everything in the game was created on Ludum Dare 39 by me, I hope you like my game, it's my first Ludum haha.

PS: the WebGL version isn't running correctly in some PCs, for better experience download the windows version :/

Awesome job on your first LD! I hope you had a lot of fun! You made a neat little game, I like the environment art a lot (especially the trees!) and shooting enemies feels pretty good. My favorite part about this game is how you can level a treeline, that just feels super good for some reason! I didn't encounter any bugs, so good work on that, though I found myself hoping that there would be more enemy types, though it's no biggie that there aren't. My only real criticism is that I'm not sure how the theme plays into the game at all, but maybe I'm missing something? Other then that, great work, especially since it's your first Ludum!

Props to the 3d world you created. It's massive. I love the feeling of being able to explore virtual spaces like this. The shooting mechanic as well as max kill statistics work as expected. Nice job with the walk cycles and other animations. Well done.

I thought that was a good idea rise the number of enemys to slowly lost power over the gameplay, but it isn't enough to complete the theme haha

The tree weighs in the air: (
I did not understand what to do :(
Good first job

It's suppose to kill as many enemys as you can, and the tree over another is because I created a code to place easily and faster the trees, and work very well, but not perfectly

Cool game, congrats on your first entry! And congrats for making everything, even the models! However, the game freezes when creating enemies, and keeps getting slower to play after...

I also didn't understand the connection with the theme, but it was a nice shooter to play and have fun :) (also, portuguese!)

Nicely done! Enemies comes from single point, so after a while you got something like that:

Thank you, I thought it would be hard to make the enemies born from different places, but thinking better now I see how easy it would be to do that haha

Love it, good taste in thinking of details such as score written on houses or destructible environment. It feels good that you can shoot at anything all you want, you don't see much of that in commercial titles. Also it is nice to see a big open world in a LD compo entry. GJ on making all the models and animations yourself.

I had a little bit of trouble getting it started, didn't seem to work for me in HTML5 but the windows version worked! The shooting feels very satisfying and I like the tree graphics. The idea and the theme didn't exactly pop, but overall you made a pretty fun game, especially for your first time! Good luck!

It's a good game! I just think maybe you could have given the player hitpoints to satisfy the "running out of power" theme, and making death a little less sudden.

There seems to be a problem in WebGL. The game tends to lock up for 10+ seconds at a time. Not sure what could be causing that. Other than that, good job!
