Bag Packer by Improx Games

Bag Packer is a arcade-style casual game grocery bag packing game designed for phones but brought to you in Web form.

In Bag Packer you grab items off the conveyor belt and stuff them into paper bags. When the bag is full, you get points and can move onto the next bag. The tasks isn't that simple though -- items can get crushed under each others' weight, losng you points. Additionally, items that never get picked up from the belt spoil and cause negative points.

You have 5 minutes. Can you survive?

Bag Packer features code by me, Oski, and art by my girlfriend, Erika. This is Erika's first time being involved in game dev. We had fun developing this game, even though we didn't commit too much time to it.

Good idea and good graphics. But would like to know a bit better what to do. ALso i felt the controls a bit unresponsive but that might be because you really had to wait for the item to be at the end. Maybe let players make some combos or something would have added a bit more to the game.

The game seems broken for me, when the bag fills up to 5, nothing seemed to happen and no new bag showed up.

Despite this, I can still see a lot of potential in the design. The free flowing drag and drop tetris concept is a lot of fun, and there's a lot of humor to be had in stacking giraffes on top of apples and watching them be crushed. The hand drawn art style is lovely and whimsical and really contributes to the goofy nature of the game.

Overall, for the first bag I packed, I had a lot of fun! Though the game didn't let me continue, I'd still recommend this game to experience the interesting concept and charming art.

I liked the pencil art graphics. You stuck with that aesthetic in a way that made the whole game hang together nicely. The clickboxes were frustrating for me. I often didn't grab what I thought I was grabbing. Eventually bags stopped moving and I realized I could bag the off-screen bags by just tossing stuff to the right. Overall: neat concept, good graphical execution, physics need polish.

The game had a good concept. Trying to grab things was a little frustrating and ultimately is why I stopped playing. I think highlighting what you are currently grabbing would be a good edition.

Don't want to repeat what already was told, but the controls is the main issues there. It's not obvious when you can grab the item, there's simple no indication. So either you need to play it so it came intuitively, or you will be frustrated all the time.
Graphics, thou, is very pleasant, and i think you did well with the theme!

I like the art and the mood of the game. There are some bugs and some exploits, like throwing the objects to the right, so they fall on other bags, and when they reach the center of the screen, they are already filled. I don't know if the objective was to try to fit the objects in an optimal way in the bag, I think the controls didn't help. Maybe the player could rotate the objects.
