Why am I here?

You are an astronaut. You had to jump off your spaceship during its landing to an unknown moon, and now, you need to reach it before you run out of oxygen. Hurry up!

What's this game's origin?

It's my compo entry for Ludum Dare 38. Made by one person in less than 48 hours. All assets have been created from scratch. It has no sounds as I ran out of time to add them. There are some small control issues, but in general it works really well :-)

What's up with those graphics?

I'm not an artist, and one of the rules for the compo was that all assets had to be created by me, so I decided to draw them in paper, using my kids' color pencils. It was especially challenging and gratifying drawing all frames for the astronaut's animations. Nothing less than six frames! Impressive :-D

Cool game! I think a in game menu system would have been good. Trying to exit the game was hard for me. Maybe I missed it. The game's art style I actually found to be pretty interesting. I liked it. The thumbnail attracted my eye. In the future though maybe a little story would help. Maybe a comic strip. I think it would of went well with the art style. Also I don't remember seeing a change of animation when I took damage. So one second I would have 100% health and another I wouldn't. That could be more apparent. Overall I thought it was a cool game the rolling circle feature was nice.

Simple, and somewhat challenging game! The graphics were nice and consistent, although perhaps some sound wouldn't hurt. Or maybe because it's in space... Still, it was a short and sweet ride with reasonable challenges. Also wondering why health is necessary when hitting the spikes kills you instantly...

Thanks for the comments!
@justinooncx yes, it's because it's in space... ^_^U actually, I ran out of time to add some sounds. Regarding health, it is possible to lose some health if you fall from a high place, and also, when you run out of oxygen, remaining life is the final countdown :-)

I like the unusual style of this game. It's a good platformer but it's really challenging (it is not a default) because the controls are difficult to handle and it's normal since we are on a small world. Very good game that would have deserved some sounds, good work!

I really love the art style, and there's a lot of potential for a cool platformer here! I found it very frustrating to have to start over every time, especially as the jumping is (appropriately!) floaty and there's a few jumps where you can't see the spikes underneath before you try them. I'd suggest only resetting the player back to the last safe spot, and probably aim the camera in front of the player (there's seldom any need to see behind!).

Nice job overall!

Love the graphic style! It's so cute! The game is a bit too hard, especially since the spikes kill you from the sides too :( Really good job, keep it up!

I really liked the concept of going forward to go back. A great application of the theme.

By the way, it's haaard! But funny, so it's ok.

Was pretty cool to see the animations with the hand drawn graphic style-- you can almost imagine playing on paper. The gravity felt appropriately floatey--and the whole small world platformer idea is pretty neat. Collisions were a bit punishing but that added some challenge I guess.
