Ropasquib by Groggi

Can you beat the mayan god ROPASQUIB in an epic duel playing the rarely known traditional mayan god game "ROck PAper Scissors QUill Bucket"? If you loose though, you will be sacrificed to the gods - as it is tradition. Sorry...

I wanted to bring in some strategic thinking into the classical rock-paper-scissors game. I added two more items/options: quill and bucket.

Every turn you use up the items like ressources - so every turn your options are reduced as they are for your enemy. To bring back all options you can sacrifice a bit of your health by clicking on it.
I hope the game is explaining enough to be playable, because I had no time to build in some hints. Hopefully that adds to the experience. Looking forward to your feedback! :)
Updates: There is two versions of the game: 1) The oficial compo release. If I will do some bugfixing, I will publishe here: http://ropasquib.mausundspaten.de 2) Updates after release version. All other future updates - that includes for example new sounds, grafics, features and general polishing - will be published on this link: http://daidalos.mausundspaten.de

Could have benefitted from the having the relashionships show on screen (toggle or a non-intrusive interface element) and making the sacrifice ability more obvious. Only noticed it cause the Ai used it.
Overall nice job!
Yes, I was thinking about making the sacrifice option more obvious with some kind of hint or tooltip. I guess most people didnt notice at all... :) Finally I didn't have the time and energy to implement it and thought its ok that people have to find out by playing like you did. Maybe in the future I will implement an info-button if I catch some time.
Thanks again, going to test your game now!
Like others said, having the wheel of strengths and weaknesses in the middle (even a bit faded out) would help a ton, as the first matches you don't remember the equivalences. Having the line of elements in an order of strength, like the external pentagon (rock, scissors, quill, paper, bucket) to at least be able to see one of the matchups would be really useful. I know you went for the order of the title, but I think gameplay should come first and the acronym doesn't suffer either.
After a while you remember them, but it would be really appreciated.
Also, it didn't make much sense to me how the paper could win agains the bucket, does it... cover it...?
You have a beautiful and fun game and I could even see it as a small mobile game. PVP would be an awesome addition too! Good luck with it!
Gameplay wise it's a simple but clever twist on a classic, well done!
I loved it
The game does benefit from the sacrificial aspect a lot. It actually made it pretty hard. I couldn't beat the AI consistently, to be honest haha.
Sounds were also very well made.
Good job!
