ASCII CAVE by George Darling

[raw]
made by George Darling for LD 42 (COMPO)

First Ludum Dare! I tried to make an ascii art game engine. Source code here https://github.com/devgr/asciicave/tree/master/src/game-logic It's more interesting as an experiment of animating text, it isn't a whole game yet.

Not sure what's going on with your game. I'm just getting a white screen when I click on the link?

@mark-smith sorry about that! the link should work now. I had the urls for the css and js files set wrong.

I can't shoot and I can't crash.

About as old school as you can get. Shame you couldn't get further with the game mechanics.

Very interesting renderer. I was excited watching that screen because I love Roguelike game very much. Unfortunately incomplete as a game, but nice work!

I can't see to crash anything, and there doesn't seem to be any guns to shoot off. It's not a big problem though because there aren't any enemies to shoot at :-)

Just needs more time: I like the idea of a text-based 1944 game. Compo crush?
