But as quickly as the spark is formed it can so, be extinguished.

Ember wants to be free and survive, but to do so she must sacrifice her own light to escape.

Through increasingly difficult platforming and challenges combined with new abilities gained from the energy stored in the Temple Dare flames can you save Ember's Light.

Right - Right arrow key or Left thumbstick Right

Jump - Up arrow key or A

Dash - Q or X

Fizzle - W or Y

Ignite - E or B

How to win:

Get through each level without running out of Ember's Light to replenish the flame. Get through all 15 levels to save Ember and win.

The graphics are really good and the game looks nice, the sound environment is pretty good too :).
I don't really like the inertia in movement, but still a great game ! Well done

Very nice platformer, reminds me of Hollow Knight. Gamepad controls feel good and levels get progressively harder as you go. Music nails that dying fire vibe.

700 megs download could discourage some people, so I'd work on that.

Great work, cheers!

I was initially sceptical of that large file size, but it really paid off -- those graphics are beautiful! Very good jam entry :)

I think it's a very basic idea. But it's beautiful.

@sam-dower Hey, thanks for playing the game man. Love the feedback, the theme is where you use your own health to perform abilities to complete the levels. I had plans to make it increase to a point where you would have to make decisions on if using the health was worth it or if there was another way around. Sadly I did run out of time having to work on the Monday and mismanaged time. Means Alot that you enjoyed the game.anyway man. Thanks.

Overall very good. Great game flow and level design. Graphically great but this effects respawn and next level loading times quite a bit as well as a large download size. but yeah its great I played through it twice and even tried the impossible difficulty. Great job my dood.

Platforming feels very smooth and the visuals are very nice. The red flame meter seems to be hogging a lot of space on the left, which hides some of the graphics. In my opinion, I would make it smaller.

Lovely feel, very pretty. Some interesting platforming mechanics, too. I would have liked a different control setup, though. I personally find hitting the y button and the a button in quick succession to be difficult due to their placement on the control pad.

Really well made graphics (Unreal Gang xD) and audio. WASD would have been nice. It's a nice platformer but too frustrating for me. The difficulty option doesn't seem to change much, maybe some additional platforms on the easy mode or extra lifes would have helped. There was one level where I got stuck (i hade one of those glowing points and constantly missed ist and when i got over it i fell down a couple platforms later). I didn't like the flame meter since it can really freak you out when you almost completed a level and die because of this thing. So I'd recommend you to generally make an easier mode for the easily frustrated players like me.

Beautiful graphics and music. I really like the lighting effects. I was happy to see that controller was supported, but sad to see that I couldn't use the D-Pad. I prefer using the D-Pad over the analog stick for platformers. Jumping was also tricky. It seemed there was too much momentum behind the jumps. Overall though, this is a great entry.
