Looks like a very good and polished game but i couldn't understand how to play it :l .I'd love to get an explanation of how to play it so I can give a better score.

My best run was 17/20 going straight left from right. Glad people still appreciated Great3st Xtrem Vide0 GaMe AlphA VIII even without chroma.

It was a cool take on the theme, deciding which order to go in add a strategic layer to it, I thought that was neat. The distinct designs for the different robots looked good as well. What I liked most were the transitions, both the effects of winning/failing and the funny flavor texts between rounds, those really added personality to the game. Cool stuff!

Everything is done beautifully, here's the truth would not hurt the game optimization ^^

A bit on the hard side, especially when you occasionally just can't find the bugs in time. But other than that, a great entry with a lot of effort in the various elements and a interesting take on the concept :)

Plus: Really great concept, amazing arts and good music.

Cons: Sometimes it is hard to see a difference between the core system and bugs, a more different design for one of them could help. Also, it is hard to find bugs in time, maybe a longer timer or making spawn more bugs (even if it would be against the lore) would help

Overall: a great game with a nice concept

Good game, I love the idea of adding features to the game but removing them from the debug. It is a bit hard to find all the bugs before time runs out though. Graphics and Audio are well done, and I found no bugs (other than the ones I shot at). Great job!

Ok ! I liked it, it was a cool concept, obviously the first to die is Mr Input so the game was instantly harder ahah ! I saw a little thing i don't know if it's a bug or not but on the result page when we press Space we can see a little black circle "jumping"

A pretty fun concept, the greater the 'game' that is made the worse it is to work on. And I loved the Wilhelm scream when you fail with sound but without input :)

I think the concept is great and well executed. However, I have two concerns:
- Why is the game so BIG? I had to download 400MB. For a Ludum Dare game, that's HUGE! I understand you made it with Unreal, but isn't there a way to make it lighter?
- What's the point of moving at all? The game was a lot easier when I just stood in place and shooting whatever was coming after me. I got 20/20 without moving.

Despite that, I still think this is a great entry :-) I like the idea of sacrificing more and more features and I like the little cutscene after winning or losing.

Sacrificing light is the worst in my opinion. I preferred to do it at the end.

On top of that, the graphics and music are well done! I can tell you put some hard work to make different models for each character. I think they are gorgeous!

Congratulations for making this game!

@pantoufle Oh my ! You just delivered the ultimate secret of the game: stay in the center ! Well you are right, bad guys can see you from a very long distance. I think we will fix it soon !

To answer to your other concern : the game is way too big, I admit it. Sure we could reduce it but it will remain a 100MB+ project, no matter what we do (except porting it to an other engine, of course).

@cevantime Woops, sorry for spoiling this secret :-X I can edit my comment if you'd prefer (though I think most people play the game before reading the comments). I'm glad you'll fix it anyway. I'm sure it will make the game more challenging :-)

Even 100MB would be better, I think. But yeah, I know the struggle with engines like that and Unreal in particular.

This was a weird game. You should be more clear about the objective and have different models for the Features and Bugs.

The game is very luck based, since the Bugs just wander around the map (even to locations that the player just left).

@abso had a look to your game. Very funny. Waking up requires sacrifices too ;)

The 3d character models are well done! There was no clear objective at first but after a few attempts i understood what to do.

Really great game. "Best graphics" award. The graphics looks like not from a prototype, but from a well-polished released game! Continue to work on it, I will buy the game on Steam!

Overall pretty good idea, a bit too many typos in the text which could've been avoided. The gameplay was a bit frustrating trying to find all the enemies with the limited amount of time, however I really enjoyed seeing all the features being taken away every time I failed. With a bit more polish and level design it would've been a really awesome game.

It looks very cool 😃 but I failed finding and firing the bugs. Also it runs a little slow of fps on my pc, maybe optimizing a little the game for a LudumDare is pretty nice
