PowerBalanceTD-1.png Tower Defense with a new dimension. You need to generate power for your towers to fire!

Don't run out of power!

Use the mouse the click and place items. You can cancel the build menu with escape or the close button on it.

Generators cost $10. Towers cost $10. Towers use 8 energy per shot. Generators generate 5 energy per second. Good Luck!

Great project. Try to add particles, and it will look amazing!

Not a bad little time waster! The generator idea is a neat gimmick to a tower defense game. The game is somewhat simple, but still works well, and was well executed for what it was.

The main problem is lack of variety. You only have two units, and you don't really need to worry about where you place the generators since they give power to the entire base; Since the turrets only take power when something is near them, you don't really need too many generators, and can litter the map with turrets. A little bit more would have went a long way, such as area of effect for the generators, and more units such as money generators.

Overall, a simple, but neat little game.

I spent a bunch of time making it able to load from the eventual output of a procedural path generator but had to axe the pathgen, sell/upgrade menu, and extra units to finish in time. This is why it has only one baked in level.

I like watching your objects move. I'm terrible at placement in these games, but I seemed to be doing pretty well placing gnerators!

Very neat tower defense game. I agree with zee, that more options for building would have been nice (different types of towers for example, and perhaps a "power area" for generators so you had to be more strategic about their placement. Also, in-game help / instructions would have been nice. And a last thing: it would have been great with more building spots on the map; for example some spots that are not next to the "road", since generators don't need to be placed there. I almost ran out of building spots in the end!
Overall the power management idea is a neat twist on the tower defense genre, and the game is fun despite lacking some variety. Well done!

Neat twist on the typical tower defense game, power generation is not something you often seen in them. Would have been nice if I could pay even $5 to destroy a placement (as just a nice little QOL thing) after realizing it wasn't a great placement, but I suppose I could just start over and try again. Started getting really loud when all towers were constantly firing simultaneously, though.

Very well put together, I would have liked to see a stats page for the towers, but I'm a numbers nerd, so I just like to min-max when I play TD games usually.

Nice idea to tie the theme to a TD. Needed a bit more variety and depth though for it to really shine as a TD, like alternate generator and tower choices, possibly mechanics like generator range where it can only generate power for things in a certain radius, maybe power capacitors, something that makes the power (and running low) theme really shine. Decent game though, hope you can build on it!

It looks like a nice prototype of a tower defense game. I think to make it a real game, you need more types of building and enemies, as well as more balance adjustment. The beginning of the game seemed to be quite easy so I managed to earn a ton of money to fill out the whole map. But later in the game the enemy suddenly became so strong and I could not remove things I already built to change my map configuration. It would be better to allow the player to replace an existing building on the map.

Its a shame you didn't have time to add an extra tower or something like that because it was a pretty fun take on the TD genre. I think it fit the theme surprisingly well because I was always feeling starved for power. Probably worth expanding on in the future.

Nice game. Always a fan of Tower Defense games. Would have been nice for some variety in towers. Played it a few times before i got used to the power drain ratio. Overall i liked it. Good Job!

Was very fun as a simple tower defense, just wish you had a way for me to destroy misplaced towers!

Good job. Probably need a little feedback to the player when a generator or laser tower can't be placed because of the money. Otherwise, is nice game.

Enjoyed this one. Would like the build panel to go away if you click anywhere else though, instead of hunting for the little x. Good job!

Nice idea. Mechanics work well, and the sfx gives a nice feedback on whats going on. I would like it to be a little more easy and forgiving in the beginning; enemies easier to destroy, more money income to build more towers. So you quickly get a feeling of progression.

Nice start to TD, it would have been nice to see how much health was left on the mobs

I like TD games, and I had fun playing this! Would have liked to have seen more than one tower to build but otherwise this was a good entry! Well done!
