Smallverse by Spiteful Fox

The Destroyer has come and the universe is ending. You have the power to save some worlds, though! Try and save worlds and maybe the next universe will turn out better than this one did.

I'll take it ! An artsy space opera theme'd universe!
I dig the game, the graphics are cute, randomization is cool. It was fun trying to build different universes based on themes. I wish there was some music or sound effects, like if you decide to not save a world it goes up in flame or explodes or something. but overall a very quick and neat game :)
But.. I'm also terribly confused by it... "maybe the next universe will turn out better than this one did" <-- I'm not sure what's "better" - is it just whatever I like the best? Also not sure if I should keep trying new universes (i.e., does the last game influence the next?).
I was really picky and because of that the game got a little repetitive (but I guess that's my own fault )
Either way, good concept that I think is worth exploring further. Maybe a tinder like mobile app where you swipe left and right to save planets or destroy them?
Some stuff that could help:
- Visual representation of the species
- More info on what you've chosen so far (unless you want to keep it more in the dark so people have to guess)
- Some visual effects when saving/destroying a world, but that's just polish in general, so I guess that speaks for itself.
What I like:
* The variety of worlds, races, and modifiers, is great! I got some funny combinations, such as one world where both "everyone was incredibly racist" and "everyone has neutron bombs". That was an instant-skip for sure!
* That your decisions play into the new universe you build
* The graphics for the worlds are nice and varied.
What I Don't like:
* There should be a bigger breakdown of the universe I built. EG, what race is dominant? What is contributing to my final scores?
* I wasted a ton of energy on worlds that just plain sucked or didn't have attributes I wanted because of RNG. Maybe every world should have at least some redeeming quality?
* Selecting the worlds wasn't really all that fun. It might be more fun if my decisions played into eachother more than just the end, such as in "The Yawhg"
Great job on your entry, and good luck in the competition!

Good job!
Does that mean I won?
Funny planets with the "other info" and races, I also went through several universes to find out what results I would get with the different properties.
BTW, I did not hear any sound (Firefox).
