Island trouble by PiotrJ
Your island paradise is in trouble! Raising sea level will end your rein unless you research new solar panel tech.
Build stuff, connect stuff, get flooded i guess?

Unfortunately I didn't really get what I was doing.. I knew I had to research something so I built a ton of research labs and slapped solar panels everywhere. This worked fine and since the game said to beware of coal I figured screw it I'll not use it at all.
At about 50% solar efficiency I guess I won the game some how? I thought I was trying to hit 100% solar efficiency but apparently not?
The game seems really cool, but I would recommend making a clearer end goal, and adding more limitations to the player, such as a cost to build and a currency generator (perhaps factories that draw a lot of power necessitating the use of coal?).
The conveyor belts were cool, had a very Factorio feel to it which I loved. I suspect this is what you were going for? :)
I would love to see this further developed in the future though, I love these kinds of building/resource games!
Also, the game told me I had researched everything when I was still @ 40%, so might be a bit of a bug there.
Kudos on actually having a functional tutorial in a LD game
Not much to do in it really. Just plot down few buildings in the beginning and then just watch the numbers go up. Well I guess one could go the other way around, abuse coal mining which then would result in more greenhouse gasses and sea level rising? Some people just want to see the world burn...
40% is indeed the final research, which is roughly best research panels that exist today.
Ive tested the jars only on windows, your best bet is to run the web version. It should work on a mac, i think
Keep moving forward.
Still at least a little nicer graphics and some sound effects would have been nice.
Other than that I cannot really say much about the gameplay because I quit very fast because I find it too complicated. I will not rate you bad for this, I think that would not be fair, so I will leave it at this comment and not rate your game.
Anyways, keep up the good work, see you around the next time :-)
**Overall game impression:** This is basically "Factorio" simplified! hahahah xD Factorio Lite. It's an incredibly complicated game for a LD entry game. 2nd resource management strategy game I played and definitely enjoyed it. It's really nice and unique, very cool and fun to play. I really love resource management building strategy games. Conveyor belts are a cool touch :D. Incredible entry, incredible gameplay, incredible complexity! Love it!!! Good job!!!!
**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** I would love some mechanical factory sound effects when you place down conveyor belts and the coal mining, power plants and research facilities.
