Cloud Conquerors is a versus game for 2-4 players. Players fight for control over 9 sectors of a small world. On your turn, you select a sector you'd like to conquer (if nobody has already conquered it) for points, or destroy (if it has already been conquered) to take away someone else's points. Each sector you control gives you one point, and owning three-in-a-row à la Tic-Tac-Toe provides two more points, adding strategy to what sectors you select. Combat for sectors takes place in a frantic, last-man-standing platforming game where double-jumps provide temporary platforms and the ground is disappearing beneath you. The game ends when no more sectors are available to be conquered, and the player with the most points wins.

Mini Archon!

Can't vote fairly, as I can only test alone. The entry is very polished, with control mapping, music, sfx and all. Add an AI and you've got a real good game. Maybe go for the full checkerboard :)

Very well made/ solid entry! Everything had a cohesiveness not often present in a compo game. The graphics where not blowing my mind, but still decent to look at. My brother and I had a go at it and found it too be fun, but lacking in depth. I believe you would find merit in working with the LOVE2D framework. It is simple to learn and based upon lua, so you should have no trouble picking it up. It would also allow for easy cross platform development. https://love2d.org/

I managed to find tow more players to play. Is way too much fun to play huddled in the keyboard, all fighting for one sectior, and then the saltiness when someone just wants to destroy one of the conquered ones :D.

It may seem far fetched, but I can see some kind of tournament play with a combination of fighting game and sector conquering :).

Very polished entry, nice graphics, sound and speacially gameplay. For the little gameplay stuff you make there is a lot to enjoy.
I enjoyed the level of detail you made here, theres just so much fun when playgin with more people. Good entry, congratulations!

Very nice little game!

The tic tac toe idea is a great way to make the fighting even more intense! It might be a little long though, because you loose often when you try to conquer a teritory, and then you can destroy. I have only played it with 2 players, but I suppose with more it's almost impossible to conquer a teritory because everyone wants to kill you, no? I would say maybe give a little advantage somehow could help?

The fighting in itself is very polished, and I haven't found any frustrating bug. The cloud plateforms is a nice idea, and complexifies the fighting without having too many controls.

Anyway, good job! :)

Très impressionnant ! Amazing work I like the very small / micro concept, the graphics are neat and perfect for the theme. The idea to create those small games, very ingenious and bold ! Very nice entry, it's a shame you have so few rating, let me help with mine :) Great work!

Really interesting concept with a neat retro/vintage vibe. Feels like it would have been at home on my 386 with battle chess 2000 and dos games. Controls were a bit fidgety to figure out 'cus I didn't read good. Enjoyed the music quite alot.

Small concept. Clever. It could be improved with depth on mechanics. The graphics still decent to look at. Controls are a little bit too weird. I had fun playing it, enjoying the pretty music. Well done. Overall, an interesting project. Thumbs up ++

A very interesting versus game. I didn't have anyone to play it with, but I toyed around with it to get the idea. Maybe different sectors having different properties/stages could be cool? Either way, it's a solid entry! Good work!

Played this with a couple of friends, loved it and it was a fun time waster! The graphics were really nice to look at and the music was nice. The controls felt a bit weird at times, but yeah playing with 4 people on a keyboard is not easy haha.

Awesome job! The concept is simple but very inventive. I'll definitely keep it on my computer and play it again sometime!!
