Little bit about development
Normally i like to focus a lot more on game mechanics in my games, but this time, since i wasn't very happy with the theme, i decided i would just try to make a bit more artistic game. Usually the artistic side is something i struggle with, so i decided to dive into the deep unknown. This was first time i drew sprites by hand without using shapes, first time i animated sprites, first time creating audio, music and narration. To say the least i still have a lot to learn.
Since i spent most of the time figuring things out with art i didn't really had much time to work on gameplay or game mechanics. Thats pretty much why the game is like 30 seconds short and has some unused game mechanics like jumping and removing resources.

I really love how you actually recorded narration for your game. That's something I always wanted to do in my projects but never got around to. I also appreciate how the camera has some inertia. This makes the game feel very smooth.
Now on the downside, I think you know this, but the game is really short and you cannot die. Also the jumping mechanics don't seem to have a real purpose.
It seems like you ran out of time, which is unfortunate because I can totally see how this game could have become a neat little experience with a bit more fleshed out story and actual things to accomplish.
Maybe you can spend some more time on a post-compo version with more narration and adventures. I would revisit it. Tag me if you do.
@aviland Thanks for the good laugh!
I know it didn't really matter too much in such a short game, but I would note that having the enemies move at the exact same speed that you do could cause problems in your future games.
Congrats on taking a shot at something you're not comfortable with (concerning the art) and keep it up!
