Well, that was interesting... Can't say it was a whole lot of fun, but I found it very satisfying. I kept feeding the petri dish in hopes of multiplying certain colored cells. Would have been nice to have a counter for how many cells are in the dish, and maybe a timer to see if you can beat your last score. Would aid in a resolution to the "game." It has an interesting concept, and there is potential to introduce viruses. Maybe make it like a city simulator where you build up your culture, then destroy it with different viruses/conditions.

We would love for you to check out our Jam game, and let us know what you think!

Interesting simulation. Maybe add more methods of interaction like introducing different organisms or antibiotics to see the different reactions.

Really satisfying! I always loved simulated life forms, and this one feels really great to watch, really alive.

And the audio/mood was perfect! Catchy enough but not to much, perfect for a game like this!

Congratulations for this entry! =)

Well done, plays really well with no obvious bugs, that's always a plus ;) nice and simple, quite relaxing. My only complaint would be that there's not a lot of interaction - like @spinaljack said!

I like the dynamically rendering cells, gives it an "alive" look. Not much to do otherwise, but the music makes it an interesting idle game. Give a bunch of food, then listen to the music while doing something else.

I really like how it looks, but it felt a bit repetitive after a while. Maybe you could add some other ways to interact with the cells.

I'd love to see where you take this. It's not really a game right now, but there is a certain fun in trying to see how man divisions you can cause simultaneously. :fireworks: Maybe different kinds of food, different dropper size (amount of food dropped), and different per-organism responses to the food (shrink, enlarge, stimulate division, combine, kill, repel). Then you could introduce goals, like adjusting the concentrations of each organism, or separating by color. Just some thoughts!

I really liked to watch them race for the food. :-)
I'm very curious on where you take this concept!

This simulation was really enjoyable. I liked how they all raced to the food and had to grow to a certain size before they could reproduce.

Nice sim! I love seeing them all run to the food! It would be cool if instead of overlapping each other, they squeezed past one another.

Interesting interpretation of the theme! :) The cell's outlines are rather well-done! I was also surprised that they can overlap, though.

I can see many ways to "gamify" this idea, if you want to keep working on this! :) Adding scores, adding objectives, or enemies! :)

Also, good job on the background music!

I liked how the cells animated, nice effect that could lend itself well to other games.
Really too bad you couldn't finish the game how you'd wanted. I, too, have had some LD submissions in the past that just didn't get past the neat-concept-but-where's-the-gameplay phase.

I cultivated a lot of cells) it was fun!) i like the music also.) It would be cool if the bacterias had some personalities))

The idea is okay, but I would really have liked this develop into a game.

Interesting simulation, could had been fun if it would had been developped into a game, maybe adding some difficulty and objectives.

This was pretty cool. I liked the cell splitting animation a lot. I think it would be more interesting if there was a bit more depth to the simulation and/or if it was developed into a game of some sort.

I've always wanted to see a petri-based game, as I've had the idea so many times, and it's nice to see one pulled off like this! I think some more work of course would make it nicer, but I liked the concept!

I enjoyed this. It has the addicting quality of a clicker game.

Fantastic work with the particles and splines. This could definitely be developed into a playable puzzle game. I hope you take it further!

I enjoyed playing that! Very relaxing - with the music - and I made up my own games. Tried to get them all going in different directions at once. Then when there were loads - tried to group the colours together. There's so much you can do with this - hope you develop it further.
