Hello! This is my first game jam ever! I think I did alright (at least I got sleep)

My game is burrow. A platformer all about escaping your bunker in a post apocalyptic world.

Controls:

WAD- Move Alt+f4 - End game

Touch the furnaces to restore the power of the facility. Power is indicated by the battery in the top left corner.

This game was made in GDevelop if you wanted to check out my source code.

Thanks for checking out my project <3

Liked it.
Especially the music :)
Cotrols were a bit clunky though.

Nice platformer although the jumping was a bit buggy and a bit of an annoyance, the furnace energy is cool but I'm not sure what the link is to the lights going out.

Neat little idea. Short, but I enjoyed it. Well done for your first game jam! :)

I actually finished your game; best game I've played so far.
I love platformers in general, yours is great but I didn't like the recovery time after landing.
The mood was super great, I enjoyed the short story at the beginning and laughed as I discovered that the apocalypse was in fact a minecraft world.
Good job dude, keep making games :)

I liked the power generator mechanic, I thought it was a really great use of theme and made gameplay way more intense. Your graphics were really bad (and stolen from Minecraft?) and the player animation was clunky. I fell into the void a couple times and felt I was cheated by the odd animations.

I made it to the end! The light recharging concept is really neat and I was able to figure out what to do right away. The platforming is hard but not impossible and I like the challenge. Sometimes it was hard to understand whether I had just made it to the next scene or if I had died. Perhaps if you had a game object that animated the reaching of a check point? Anyways: Good show!

Great game! Really good use of the theme and the game struck a nice balance between challenge and fun.

I like the idea of the light slowly fading; it added an extra layer of challenge to what is already quite a tricky game. I agree with what others have said about the clunky movement: you really have to be precise with some of your jumps, which is difficult when you're also essentially playing against the clock.
