Bomber Dash is a Beat Them All where you must survive on a small platform. Unfortunately, all the enemies tend to explode, destroying the platform even more, making it smaller and smaller.

:checkered_flag: YOUR GOAL : Stay alive as long as possible, collecting coins and defeating as many enemies as possible.


Controls :

- Move : WASD or Arrows
- Attack : Space or X
- Dash : Ctrl or Shift

If you want some bullet hell, that's the place to go !
I love the different ennemies, specifically the canon shooting upward. But it quickly gets far too messy for me... probably a matter of taste. Also, I have a weird felling about the controls, I can't say why. But somehow, I can't really fell "in".
Though, the amount of polish with the animations is impressive.

What a pretty game to look at ^^

It controls smoothly enough, even if I think it is hard to attack when moving vertically. Other than that, the game is great! I do believe you get to die a bit quickly, but it isn't too much of a big deal.

Congrats on such a polished game, with, once again, those online scores ^^

Really good. The music is good and the movement fluid, attacking the foes below you it kind of weird because of there not a lot of fell in when it will connect or not. The enemy design is really cool and the dashing mechanic add a Reward/Failure feeling when used but i do not seem to get hurt by falling, dont know if thats intended. Either way, great submission. Keep it up!

Yes, we were aware of the balance issue, there was a bug in the enemies spawning calculation we fixed it and uploaded this fixed version with a few other bugs fixing. :wink:

I like the concept and it's polished execution. The gameplay is fun and allows for some cool moves. The Visuals are well done and pleasant. I see room for improvement on the soundeffects which are a bit too loud and agressive in my opinion. Nonetheless a fun, cute game and complete submission!

3rd on the leader board! Agree with @linky439 that it would be nice to attack vertically, otherwise would also like to see what true final score would be after death while playing, but it kept me playing so that I could top the boards! Fun game!

Looks and plays well. My biggest issue would be that enemies movements can be a bit too random. And the attack range seems awfully tiny.

A very good game you have submitted here. I somewhat didn't like the controls when it came to attacking and dashing at the same time, but the mechanics were still solid.

Great production values, and very enticing gameplay, I played many rounds! My only complaint is that the enemies never seem to go where I want them to go when I dash into them, but maybe I simply need to practice more.

This game was really fun. I feel at times it could be really slow, like when nothing is really happening and you're just waiting for a coin to drop. The game is at its best when you're surrounded on all sides by numerous eneimes with coins being spread across the map.

Also, there was a bug in my playthrough with the enemies spawning at the bottom partially offscreen:

Nice job!, I kinda had a hard time when the enemies spawned too close I couldn't react as fast to dodge them, maybe is just me :), Also you should a shadow to the enemies, player and coins, that's to help the player get a better sense of depth.

Great game. The game is well balance and is well polished. The dashing effect opens up lots of opportunity to get really good at the game. Otherwise, I feel that the pace of the game is rather slow and can certainly get more reactive. Played the web version of it and I believe the right ctrl key is not working for dash.

Extremely fun. Overall a very adictive game. I can play this for a long time. Tha animations are smooth as **** and a successfull attack is very satisfying.

-- I thought it was difficult to attack people on top of you and below you.

-- I think its a good idea to get more points when attacking enemies as well as getting coins. I did not notice getting more coins when damaging enemies.

-- The dash animation is cool. But I did not use it once. Can you bypass holes with the dash?

@dingodize Falling should decrease your HP by one. If it didn't then it should be a bug...

@gelisam Indeed it's hard do control the ennemies direction when dashing them, I agree. Thanks a lot for playing !!!

@unitedfailures Yeah, those flying mines are really stupid, aren't they :sweat_smile:

@tlcoc @s-london-by Indeed the right Ctrl button is not mapped. For dash you can also use Shift, C and both Alt buttons, should have put more than one in the tutorial I guess :cat:

@josehzz Yes we wanted the ennemies not to hurt you while spawning but it seems not to be working well, ahah :sweat_smile:

@mza Yes, we first wanted to implement vertical attack as well but you know, lack of time... You don't get more coins by damaging ennemies but the number of killed ennemies is part of the final score. Also if you don't attack at all, bonus and coins will stop appearing. Yes, you can go over one hole by using dash, you can also send away ennemies when they turned red after you attacked them (except the turret).

Really good job here !
The only thing that was difficult is that the hero can only give hozitontal hits and the hitboxes makes easier to hit enemies above you than below.
The rest is just perfect. Great graph, great humor, great sound, great design !
Really one of my favorit entries so far !

As other mentionned, the lack of vertical attack is really painful sometimes :slight_frown:

But it's really fun to play and replay to beat your highscore !

The online leaderboard is a nice addition to be able to compare your score to everyone else.

The sound is a bit loud though, you should consider lowering it a bit.

Great game, one of the bests I've played this jam. Movement is nice, the idea is good and fits the theme, game feels pretty balanced and the graphics/sound were really well done. Congrats.

I liked your approach to the theme. The concept is interesting, and I'd like to see more of this game. Very good pixel-art, character design, animations, and sound effects. The only thing that doesn't fit well, in my opinion, is the music.
