About

SpaceIO is a game about running a cell phone startup, a startup where you manually manage the backup of user's data. Your job is to make sure that none of your customer's phones ever run out of space. Whenever they're awake, the customers will be sending emails and taking photos like crazy.

You have to choose how and when to back up their data. If their phones fill up, they'll take their business elsewhere. On top of managing the current customers, as a SpaceIO employee you have to set the price for new customers and oversee infrastructure upgrades.

@jackyjjc Currently you have to download the source on a mac and run it. For someone to be able to download and run it on a 3rd party iOS device, Apple will have to review the app. They don't allow any unreviewed code to run on people's phones.

@predominant It's a native iOS application. Unfortunately I'd have to rewrite it from the ground up to run on the web.

@predominant You need a mac. Xcode ships with it. You open the game and can run it on an iPhone. Submitting it to Apple gets around that, but their review process is about a week before it's downloadable from the App Store.

I would really love to try it, but I do not own a Mac, and, even if I did, to be fair, I wouldn't probably test it, because it's too much of a hassle just to test a game. Maybe for future jams consider making a Windows build, or, better, a HTML build :).

I really wanted to play this, but my iphone is a bit behind on ios versions and I don't have the ability to update it right now. Unfortunately that is the challenge of making things for systems with limited availability. I really hope you're able to find people that can play this.

Based on the video this looks really playable and seems like it makes good use of touch controls.
