You spend lives to upgrade your character (quite literally) and defend against the neverending waves of hashes and their bullets.

Controls: Arrow keys for movement, Space Bar for shooting, Shift pauses and unpauses the application, Control moves back and forth between the upgrades screen and the play area.

The game can be insane, or casual, depending on how hard you mash your keyboard. :)
