Controls

Movement: WASD

Fire: Spacebar

This has been my first ever Ludum Dare and I've had a blast! I really enjoyed this theme and am super excited to see what everyone else has come up with. I started making games at the beginning of 2018 so it feels great to have created something playable within 48 hours. As someone new to the games development scene, I really appreciate any feedback you might have for me.

For this project I used Unity as an engine alongside Photoshop for creating sprites and Novation Launchpad + Audacity to handle the sound.

I hope you enjoy the game, and I look forward to taking part again in Ludum Dare 42!

The idea is good! But in the state it is very difficult! Make a wider band and make a special attack for small areas!

The idea is cool, but it needs to add bullet hell or more bullets. Graphics are really simple. zero fgeedback.

@ROBOWARRIOR1982 Thanks for the feedback! In case you missed it, though, hitting consecutive beats increases the damage of your bullets :)

@DarkAnice Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I find it a lot fun, the song is actually really inspiring to play the game, as when you are shooting you are also "dancing" with the rhythm. The game fits the theme really well, good job =D

Great concept and quite well executed! That boss is pretty tough haha. I seem to have found a bug on one of my plays where the boss didn't spawn and the game just kept on going with nothing spawning, but other than that it was really fun!

One thing I would like to suggest is to make it so that if you miss the beat by a tiny bit, you deal less (half?) damage but it doesn't reset your combo counter (similar to getting a "Good" instead of "Perfect" in typical rhythm games). Nevertheless it's an awesome game with amazing music. Well done!

I really like the music of the game, the beat is easy to follow and enjoyable. Great game !

Ha! That was fun. I like the EDM-y theme. If this game taught me anything it is that I absolutely cannot keep a beat with my thumb (on the spacebar) while trying to aim (with wasd)

Maybe if you could optionally click to fire..?

I really like the concept you have here, and i realized that moving the ship and keeping the beat is not as simple as it sounds, great job :)

Had fun when playing it and beating it. I thought maybe it was a bit too easy, good beat and good take on the theme. I think it would be nice if it played some kind of sound each time you hit a beat.

Very awesome, especially considering you've only been making games since the beginning of this year. The music is really nice for being made in such a short amount of time. Great work!

I don't know what happened the second time I tried to play, but no enemy was coming after playing for a while. I don't know if it's me but it's hard to keep up with the rhythm, especially when you get nervous at certain enemies. ;) Would like to see different enemies (I couldn't beat the boss) and weapon upgrade. Nice job! I think you did it alone, right? Good entry!
