This is really great for a jam! I liked the sfx, though the snake sfx was a bit loud at the start. Also adding some indication that you have to press enter to start would help, as I didn't realize how to start the game. Shooting was fun and satisfying with 1-shot kill. Gameplay-wise the only thing that bugged me, was that you could just run backwards and almost no enemies could get to you, which made the game easy. Maybe you could add boundaries to the levels. But as a shooter for a jam this is really good.

I am not quite sure if there is more to the game than just shooting the Snakemen. Did the forest do anything or benefit the player?

I found the best strategy to run away into the horizon, then turn around and shoot and run more.

I have a feeling this is not the strategy you had in mind.

Well, it's a good game with old style 3D as Doom or Wolfenstein3D. However it needs a lot of improvement to be played at least 5 minutes. The sound killed my ears, very loud

Congratulations on your first 3D game! It's a well put-together game with some tense feels. However I notice that most objects in the game are 2D textures, so maybe you can try using some 3D models next time. The gun is not aligned with the crosshair although it doesn't affect the gameplay. The bullet seems to be a 2D texture aiming at wrong direction. I think there are still many improvements you can make. However overall it's a good start of your 3D game development journey! Good job! :slight_smile:

Man, those sounds and visuals need quite a bit of work. At the least, you could try choosing a better sans serif font that is consistently applied across the game, and not default to using the harsh red colors - my eyes are going blind with that! Also the harsh sounds are quite jarring. The game action is pretty good though.

i like it brings back doom a lot hahaha
